We are going back in Sept. to celebrate my husband turning 50. He would like to eat at a signature restaurant with our dining plan credits. (We have free basic dining from a bounceback offer last year.). His first thought was Le Cellier. We ate there years ago when it was not a signature restaurant. However, our reservations were at 7 and they didn't seat us until 8:30 :( and my boys were either asleep or half asleep. The Filet Mignon was super, but it was definitely not a great experience.

However, we'd like to explore other options now that he has brought up the idea of eating at a nicer place. Our boys are 11, 15, and 17. It needs to be casual and have super food.

Also, what do you get at a Signature restaurant w/the basic dining plan? Drink, Entree, Dessert?

Educate me, please! :)

TIA

Artist Point at WL sounds like a good fit for your Family.

Yes, you still only get your entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic drink with the DDP even at a signature.

Honestly, you probably need to look at the menus of the various places to see what will appeal to your family. My choice would be Narcoossees just for the location and some of the more expensive entrees.

I know you have free dining, but you may want to keep in mind that those credits are "worth" about $38 each, so for a signature meal, you need to get close to that $75 mark for it to be a good value.

I'm just a big fan of california grill. I know everyone says to do it at night during fireworks but honestly my favorite time of day to have dinner there is right at opening. You get your choice of window, it is not crowded, service is relaxed because it is not full yet (they stagger the reservations and don't fill it up at once), the kitchen is not slammed yet. It was a great meal last time I went there. I paid OOP for the whole thing but will be doing it on DxDDP this time and may end up ordering the same thing (2 years apart, I know what i like!) the view during the daylight hours is stunning and you can always come back during fireworks if you've eaten there that evening.

Two of our favorite signatures are Artist Point at WL and Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC. Both have nice (yet casual) atmospheres and the food (IMO) is very good.
