Favorite Hidden Gems

Not a secret, but we really enjoyed the Enchanted Rose Lounge last few times we visited the Grand Floridian. Each time we have visited we have been able to get a table no problem. Great service, food, and atmosphere and rarely busy (at least when we're there it's not).

I was curious what sort of "hidden gems" you have found at the resorts or throughout the parks/disney springs that not everyone may know of. In addition to the parks, my BF and I LOVE exploring the other resorts or discovering new things about the parks that aren't so obvious. For example, we once stumbled upon the Belle Vue lounge when visiting BWI and thought it was so neat and never would have found it had we not stopped to check out the lobby. Doesn't have to be some super secret, but we love stopping to "smell the roses" as they say and experience new things each time we visit.

I hate to call this a hidden gem, just hidden -- a bit. At the Grand Floridian is a small lighthouse as a tribute to the young boy who was pulled into the water and died five years back. As a mom, it meant a lot to me to have a few minutes of reflection at the memorial. I wouldn't take kids to it, and I wouldn't arrange your entire trip to go there, but if you're at the GF I think it's a nice way to honor his memory.

The art displayed around AKL. I loved spending some downtime exploring the different displays.

I also love the smell when you walk into AKL!!

Also not hidden, but we had lunch at Steakhouse 71 today. It is the Wave reimagined. Totally redone. Great art, new menu, seems like the same great staff though. In fact the entire contemporary lobby was redone and truly looks great. our lunch was the best meal we have had since we arrived.

I love the Bonzai trees in the garden of the Japanese pavilion in Epcot.
