I need some recommendations for a good diaper bag. I want something sturdy that holds its shape even when it's empty. I would like it to be between $20-50. I would like it to be roomy without being the size of a duffel bag. I need room for all of baby's things, plus room for my wallet and cellphone and a few other things. A good liner would be nice, as I hate when they have the thin ones that always rip out. Oh, besides it looking nice, something that cleans well is a plus.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

This is higher than your price range but I loved my Ju-Ju-Be bag. I don't need a diaper bag anymore but I still use my Mini-be backpack, even came with a shorter set of straps so DD can use it. I like their organization, easy to clean, light colored liner so easy to find things.

I have also heard good things about Land's End bags. They have a few on clearance right now (little tripper and do-it-all).

We have the Land's End Do-It-All bag and it's perfect. Got a couple others as baby gifts, and bought a different brand when baby #2 was born, but that Land's End one is the best of them all. It's very light weight, but holds it's shape, opens up wide so you can find things, has good pockets and an outside zipped pocket that I use for my own stuff.

The light blue is on sale for $24.50 and the other colors are regular price at $34.50. You can almost always find a code for free shipping too.

The Lands End bag is wonderful...we still use if for misc "stuff" and that bag is almost 16 years old. Ours is dark blue, so DH would carry it.

Love my bag from LL Bean, plus you can have it monogrammed. It does all you ask and more...

Oh we bought a bag from Columbia outlet when we were at WDW.

It is awesome and was only $40 reg 119!
I love it, its a jacket type of material, not to feminie so DH does not mind carrying it. real nice.

My favorite "diaper bag" was the Vera Bradley backpack my mom got for me. It had pockets on the sides that would hold bottles when needed. All the diaper/baby stuff fit in the main compartment, and my wallet, sunglasses, etc. fit in the front pockets. You can find them on sale in the price range you're looking for and they really wear well and stay looking nice.

I use a Vera Bradley bucket tote for my diaper bag with a few purse items. It also has several inside pockets to stash my cell phone, liptstick, hand sanitizer and lotion. The middle I fill with diapers, wipes, my wallet and a change of baby clothes

Another LL Bean/Land's End girl here. I had them both and they were great bags!

I use the Thirty One Medium Tote. They have cute patterns and you can get them embroidered. The inside and outside lining are wipeable. I actually bought this for a purse and it was too big for that but I love it as my diaper bag. Go to www.thirtyonegifts.com and you can look at their catalogs. PS - I do not sell this stuff but just went to a party at a friends and found out about it. (Medium Tote is on page 20 of the spring catalog. I have the brown pattern shown and it is really nice. Very roomy - I carry diapers, wipes, change of clothes, medicine bag, snacks, toys, sippy cup, & still have room to throw my wallet in. It has a few inside pockets - one for cell phone and a zippered pocket. A few outside pockets too). I love Vera Bradley too but like this for diaper bag because I can wipe it down easily.

I carry a Land's End diaper bag for Lucas, too. I got his name put on it, too.

The only picture I have is of it with some of my other baby shower stuff, but this is what I have:

another vote for the LL Bean one. We have it in Black and still use it for outings as it doesn't look like a diaper bag. I love the fact that ours has a lime green interior so it is easy to find things inside.

Im a big fan of my 6th diaper bag. I have gone through a few in the last few years with both my kids. However this one has lasted me the longest. While the free ones I got from Nestle were ok, they fell apart. We also had a couple of Columbia ones, that were ok, because they fit in the maclaren basket. But now, since DD was born we have a Skip-hop bag.
We got ours at Baby Gap. But I think they are available in other places.

Love it. Love it. Love it.

I was going to recommend the Skip Hop for your price range. They have them at Target (a slightly different line). I used the Duo Double and the Duo for our now 3 year old. I also liked my Ju Ju Be Be All (purchased second hand). All I threw in our front loading washer on gentle in cold and hung to dry. It made me feel better to wash out the diaper bag once in awhile. Not a real diaper bag but I now use a Timbuk 2 bag. www.timbuk2.com Mine is black and I think a medium sized tote I got from an REI clearance sale for under $30. I used a Lands End backpack for my son who is now 11. Great quality but a little heavy and unorganized for me. But the styles may be different now.

I use a Vera Bradley Cargo. It's a retired model so it's cheaper, I got a good deal at Stein Mart. It holds a ton and has a lot of pockets for my stuff, as well as the large middle section for baby things.

Interesting thread...I'm going to follow this to see the recommendations. I'm trying to decide on a diaper bag now, and it's a hard decision! :scared:

Personally, I'm currently considering the LL Bean Diaper Bag and the eBags Bundle Baby Bag. I really like the stroller straps on the eBags Bundle Bag, but I'm thinking it's a little too large for my needs.

Questions for you please about the LL Bean diaper bag. :) Is that mesh pocket that I see on the left hand side of the bag big enough for a bottle? What about a sippy cup?

Does the one you own have a contrasting color of liner? Do you think it would fit in the bottom mesh basket of a Maclaren umbrella? Thanks. :)

Yes and yes about the sippy cup and bottle. Also, there are 2 pockets on the other side...the small one is perfect for a cell phone or paci, the larger one closed and I ususally put my sunglasses in there. Everything is easy access.

There is a tiny, shallow front zipper pocket that is perfect for WDW trips. I keep my room key, DVC card, and AP's in there for quick access for FP.

There is a larger pocket flap that has slots for cc's, etc. I usually just keep a small vera bradley hand clutch in there so if I want to grab it at once I can. There's also a key hook. This pocket isn't huge but it holds a lot if you want it to.

Inside there is a large zip that goes the length of the bag. I put flat things in there (ie. disposable bibs). Plus 3 mesh pockets that are vertical...they could hold bottle too. I use them for: emergency medicine (tylenol drops, benedryl due to allergies), a spare set of clothing, a back-up bottle of Pediasure. I place diapers flat on the bottom of the bag with the wipes. That still leaves room on the end for baby food and snacks as well as my camera and an extra blanket.

It's a completely comfortable bag...slip it off the stroller and onto your shoulder and the wide strap feels great. Even when full it never seems heavy. And your arms are free to deal with the baby.

I have a pretty green one that they don't seem to have anymore. Still, I love this bag!

PS. You won't be able to fit it under a Mac. The only thing I can fit under my Mac is a very small cooler with drinks. Also, if you are going with the Mac, you may want a smaller bag. This hangs over my P3 just fine, but the Mac is a lot more tippy. Something to think about...
