Favorite Concert

LPool Fogerty was fantastic! I called my daughter and told her to listen for a minute. He was the first concert she went to 20 years ago (she was a baby). He is just as good now as he was then, maybe better.

Now if you want to see another really great show with a bunch of old guys go see CSNY.

Hi, my name is Lauren and I have a concert problem...

No really, I spend all my money on concerts, I have been to hundreds! My favorite so far was Kenny Chesney, great entertainer, and not bad on the eyes...

You need to do what I did--get a job in the music industry! I've been to thousands of concerts and have paid for a mere handful. :thumbsup2

I like your thinking! Why am I in college to become an elementary school teacher again?

The World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band, Steel Wheels Tour, plus the Clash at Bond's International Casino (not, but a rare poster and bootleg), U2 at the Rat in Hogtown in 1980 (thearc was clear then), and Zappa at th O'Dome

Ok...don't laugh...The New Edition Reunion tour. Seeing my childhood crushes all grown up...

"Mr. Telephone man, there's something wrong with my line, when I dial my baby's number, I get click every time..."

I gotta thank everyone for postin', took me down memory lane. :cool1:

Mott the Hoople, omg, I forgot I saw them :rotfl2:
I saw:
Cher when she was with Sonny
Tina when she was with Ike
Tina was much better decades later without Ike.
Jefferson AIRPLANE :rotfl2:
Hendrix, Doors, and of course, Led Zeppelin
Stones more than a couple of times, but wouldn't fight the crowd now
Santana, then and now
Don Henley, one of my faves and Eagles back then
Steve Miller, Bowie, Hall & Oates, ZZ Top, BB King
Canned Heat, anyone remember them? They opened for Beach Boys
Took my baby brother to see KISS in late '70's
Saw MJ's Victory Tour
I'll probably think of more when my head hits the pillow
and before I forget, saw Elvis in early 70's.
Man, those were the good ol' days :lmao:
Don't want to fight those crowds anymore, but at my age I'd still go see
Janet, you go girl!!!! :cool1:

omg, does anyone remember:
Well, it's one, two, three
what are we fightin' for?
Country Joe & The Fish
and Arlo, omg, I'm old :cool1:

Coldplay's very first US show. I think the tickets were like $8.00 and it was awesome! My boyfriend at the time took me because "Yellow" was "our" song.

White Stripes (I've seem them seven times)

U2's Vertigo tour

The Fire Theft's first show

Foo Fighters acoustic

Tom Petty with my dad.

Areosmith with my dad.

Rolling Stones with my dad. (I have the best dad in the world!)

I'm dying to see Madonna on tour. I just don't have the $$.

Actually, I don't ever think I've seen a bad show, except for one Modest Mouse show before they were famous. Not a good live band...

You and me both lol! I remember Canned Heat, many of my mornings were spent listening to them before heading out to school ( and Country Joe and Arlo). Now you should goes see CSNY because you'll really be able to appreciate them. There show is very political, not unlike way back when.

Oh he!!, thanks for the "reminder"
Add CSNY to the list, sheesh, they're still in my fave list.
Who sang "Don't Bogart That Joint, My Friend"? ;)

Well I know for sure Little Feat sang it, but there were a few others too. Grateful Dead being one of them.

Fraternity of Man sang that song, from Easy Rider.

Funny thing, I just love Puff Daddy stuff and
I love Eminem now, must be how I grew up :rotfl2:

I've seen a lot of great concerts, but the most special was Paul McCartney. Just couldn't believe I was seeing one of the Beatles! :lovestruc

I saw Paul McCartney, too. I believe it was 1989? What a great concert! ITA! :thumbsup2

My favorite had to be Bon Jovi in 1987, Slippery When Wet tour. Cinderella opened for them. AWESOME!

Uggg Fraternity of Man! I had this conversation with my husband one time, he knew it and made me crazy trying to guess who sang it originally. He could probably tell you every detail about Easy Rider :moped: .

Alright now, to add to this little trivia game, who sang the line }Have you seen us, Uncle Remus?"

Mothers of Invention, Frank Zappa!
and Tina Turner was on that cut as backup

a li'l note:
Guess who's at Wine & Food Festival same time I am?
Family Stone, don't know about Sly.

I figured you would know it :teeth: . Remember the band Spirit? I also remember listening to a band called The Fugs. I saw Paul McCartney in 1976, the Wings over America tour, Linda played the keyboards.

Two other groups I loved seeing were Steppenwolf and NRBQ.

Ha! I didn't think anyone would remember them! Nope my mind is pretty much toasted most of the time. Well it's time to hit the hay. I thank you (and the others who posted) for this trip down memory lane.

There are to many to choose from and to remember,

3 Doors Down, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, Genesis, Journey, Bon Jovi, KISS, Ted Nuggent, Skid Row, Def Leppard, Eagles, Don Henley, Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, John Berry, Brooks and Dunn, Clay Walker, Martina McBride, Randy Travis, Kool and the Gang, Joe Diffie, Billy Joel, Dolly Parton, Orchestra playing film scores from John Williams, Neil Diamond, Brian Adams
