Favorite CM?

Any recent cruisers have a great memory from a CM who made their trip above and beyond all the other cruise ships????

Our favorite CM, and the favorite of the others in our group of 29 from last April, is Khadir from Turkey. He worked up on deck 9 and 10 serving drinks and was just incredible! My husband says, "He is the hardest working guy on the ship."

Our first day onboard, he gave us one of his walkie talkies so "You can always reach me if you need anything." He also brought up his own cooler so "you can keep some cold beers nearby if you get thirsty." No, we did not spend the entire trip drinking but with 14 adults someone always wanted/needed a drink. At any of the sailaway parties he always had a large table saved and ready for us when we got there.

He also would bring us plates of chicken fingers/french fries and fruit throughout the days at sea.........guess you now know why he was our favorite CM!!!

jillie....I think that may be the same CM who at CC would walk through the surf pulling an inflatable boat filled with ice and drinks and serve you while you were floating on a raft or tube!!! Life does not get much better than that!!! He was great!!!

We were just on the Wonder in Feb. My favorit was Ian from England. He was really funny. He did most of the game shows and any kind of lounge games. He always had a joke and made every crack up all the time.

Ian is a doll!!! We sailed with him a few times on the Magic....he left DCL for awhile to pursue a different career and recently heard he was back with DCL on the Wonder....he really is wonderful!!!

I thought Ovi from Romania, the photographer was wonderful! He came to our table the night at tritons and took our family photo and he fell in love with my daughter, and she with him. They were so funny. I couldn't believe how much my 1 yo loved him!!!
After that night we saw him again setting up for the photos in the atrium, and he came over and started playing with my daughter!! I was so impressed. He gave so many compliments about our daughter. We took there picture together and I was surprised to hear he didn't have any children. He will be a great dad someday!!

Our server on the Wonder last summer was Alun from Scotland. He was awesome and I could have listened to him talk all day.

Our group of 8 LOVE Trevor from the Wonder activities staff - talk about a prankster! And we also LOVE Bob from the Wonder activities staff. Bob is such a sweetie and was always sure that our group was having fun!!

I have to add my two cents on Ian from England. He was on our Magic cruise in Jan. of 2003 and he literally made the trip for us. We even have video of him from the last night dinner making a face at our camera!! He was our first contact on the ship as he conducted a walking tour before we even left port. We really missed him when we went on the Magic in Feb. of this year. It wasn't the same without him. I think it would be great to go on the Wonder just to see him again!!

Wow, Ian is among the best in the entertainment staff from our cruise 2 summers ago. I'm so happy he is back with DCL. He is one of a kind. Khadir from Turkey sounds really special. I don't recall him however on our cruises.

We have great memories from last summer with Que, Andy, SheShe, Karen and Ellen. Does anyone know if these great CMs will sail with us this summer? (July 31st?)

Gemma our server made our holiday extra special. Her cheeriness and friendliness was wonderful. She is now in Palo so hopefully more folks will get the opportunity to see her.
We also found Donna who was in charge of rebooking for future cruises exceptional. She is so helpful and knowledgable.

Roland from the Phillipines! He was our server and he was just incredible.

He showed us a picture of his 13-yo daughter, and told us he had only 8 more cruises (Magic) until he received his two-month break to see her and his wife!

DH, DD and I were so moved by that. We thought of him two months later, and were happy at the thought that he was finally able to see his family.

We're hoping that he's still w/DCL, and wonder (no pun intended) if we'll see him on the Magic when we sail in May!

Gemma! Wow, I didn't know she made it Palo! That's FANTASTIC for her! I hope she's enjoying it! She made our very first trip!

This last time I'd have to say Donna was our star for helping us rebook our favorite room for #3 and 4!

We have lots of respect for all the CMs on DCL, some standouts:

1. Ian, as already mentioned, was phenomenal! He made the simplest moments, like standing in line for an excursion, seem like fun. His games were the best.

2. Servers: Nikola and Matt from our 1/04 cruise were excellent, and Daniel from 1/03 was super.

3. Good memories were made w/ Jamie from New Zealand (and his twin who works on CC!) and with Zinsie from South Africa, whose name I likely misspelled.

Hope to see them all again next year!
