LOL!! My mom used to sing commercials to me! I remember the Pepsi one:

Pepsi Cola hits the spot
12 ounce bottle that's a lot
only costs you a nickle, too
Pepsi Cola is the drink for you!

YES!! I was coming here to post about Frito Bandito! I can barely remember his commercials from when I was around 3 or 4, but to this day, I can remember him mincing through that lady's cabinet, singing. But, the lyrics I remember were, "IyEEEE IyEEEE IyEEEE IyEEEE, I am the Frito Banditooooo! Geeve me your corn cheeps an' I'll be your fren!.....(can't remember the rest).

I seem to be the only one who remembers the bandito amongst my family and friends, though, and I was beginning to wonder if I'd just imagined him. Thanks Perdidobay!

I saw someone mention local commercials - so I thought I'd give this a try. My husband grew up in SE Ohio. Once, in a fit of silliness that I'm sure he now deeply regrets, he sang me a song from his boyhood of a local grocery store - I think it's Lawson's? Anyway, it goes something like this, and I was hoping that someone could point me to where to find an actual recording of this to surprise him with. (Btw, I now make him sing this to me every time we're on a road trip. It just tickles me to death, for some reason)

Roll on Big O!
Get that juice on up to Lawson's in 48 hours
something - something - something - I can't remember
And that cold, cold JUICE
In the tank truck CABOOSE
Stays as fresh as the Florida sun!

Any Ohioans remember this?

Was it Panteen shampoo that said something like:

"I told two friends and so on, and so on, and so on"?

Imperial Margerine - someone got a crown on their head

What product was this? "Its not nice to fool with Mother Nature"

McDonald's - You Deserve a Break Today

Choo Choo Charlie - Good and Plenty

Norelco Santa Razor

I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing - Coca Cola

My Dog's Better than your Dog - Ken L Ration

And here's one to really date me - I can't remember which airline it even was but it was the "Take me Along if You Love me" commercial with the wives singing to their husbands who were taking a business trip!

I like the one where the guy goes to pick up his laundry and he asks how do you get the whites so white...and the employee says "Ancient Chinese Secret" and then the employee's wife says "We need more Calgon" and then guy says "Ancient Chinese Secret huh?" I don't know why I get such a kick out of that.

"My husband, some hot shot here's his ancient Chinese Secret....."

Nobody named Michael liked all those Life cereal commercials.

I used to really liked the first decade of Nike commercials. The new ones don't even compare. So many catch phrases came form those. My favorite was the "Bo knows" series.
