Bice - Love this restaurant. It is authentic Italian, not Italian-American.

Mama Dellas - Fun and really good Italian American in a kitchen setting. I love the family style atmosphere.

I may be the minority but I hated tchoups! Not for the food but the service.
we had a 5:30 pm ressie and by 5:45 we were served our main course...
oh and btw, we were still eating our appetizers....

they rush you, rush you, rush you...

Thanks for the heads up. We are used to "courses" coming AFTER you are done with the previous course. THe wait staff observes your progress, then serves accordingly. (living here surely has spoiled us). Might I suggest for future restaurant visits, you order your appetizer, then after bring served, request to order the main course. That way you can take your time and not feel rushed. This is what we will be doing.

Sleepy,

You are so right! Under normakl conditions I always do not put my dinner order in prior to receiving appetizers. But I felt with such an upscale place and servers floating around you always this wouldn't be necessary.

I was at Emerill's in New Orleans where service, food excellent. Quite honestly, I believe the reason for the fast service was that the restaurant had just recently opened and they were all just getting their feet wet.

BUt I learned my lesson,,

Can you tell me which region of Italy the recipes are from or is there a mixture depending on dish? (there is a huge difference in flavor) Also, did they have buffalo mozzarella?

My all time favorite is Mythos. As earlier posted, the menu is very interesting,
the atmosphere is much quieter than most theme park restaurants and the prices are reasonable. I liked (not loved) Tchuop Chop, it is very expensive and the service was very slow.

And I can't wait for Bubba Gump to open. It'll be great having one of these onsite! I like Ping Pong Shrimp, Cajun Shrimp, Fried Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp, Stuffed Shrimp, New Orleans Shrimp..
 I LOVE SHRIMP! lol... I had no idea they were opening up a Bubba Gump onsite. ANy idea as to when it'll be ready?

I found this in another thread....

"The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant, with seating for more than 400, will open July 1 at the entrance to CityWalk. Its CityWalk location was announced last summer."

JUST going to make it.....we'll be there from end of June to July 2 (leaving after day in the park)....we'll try it Saturday nite (7/1)....jeez...shouldn't be too nuts! (i'm dreading going on "opening nite") :scared:

if I could eat all 3 meals there everyday - MYTHOS , hands down!! incredible food, impeccable service , fascinating atmosphere......for the quality of food, prices were quite reasonable

also loved Mama Della's at Portofino....excellent food and it's just so romantic!
