Hi we're planning on coming down in a few months in a small class B RV. Never been to FW. Looking to find out which sites you all prefer and why. Ours is a smaller RV with no slides, so don't necessarily need a large site, but definitely want sewer. Also was hoping to be near kayaking but not a deal breaker. Thought we read that there was kayaking there. Anyway interested to know your fav site or area and why. Thanks all! :wizard:

We stayed in the outer loop in 1400 this summer. I think it was 1440. It was premium and so worth it. One site over from the comfort station, less than a minute to the campfire, and less than 5 minute walk to the pool, bike/ fishing rental, and Meadow store. When I did online check in I asked for 1400 loop near the comfort station and the site was great! Have fun!!

Part of loop 600 overlooks the fishing lake across from the bike barn and campfire area. However no BYO Kayaks permitted. You can bring your own bike, golf cart, or tap shoes (in Scupper's case). But you aren't permitted to bring and use your own canoes or kayaks. You can only use the Disney rentals in the small lake and adjacent canals.

No personal boats of any kind permitted on the big lakes like Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake (unless you are a VIP course).

Bama Ed

PS - saw your reply in another thread about wanting to use your own kayak. FWIW, those loops in 600 on the water have very little shade if that makes any difference to you. 600 is a Premium loop.

I think 600 is the loop for you. Right by the pond.

Thanks for all the replies. Good info. I hope I don't get discouraged, I'm already feeling discouragement on the price of $140 a night, holy cow. We haven't been onsite in yrs, but now have to drive down bc I inherited my mom's bichon that my husband lovingly calls a big oaf, so no flying. Last time I walked her a person teasingly said "looks like that dog had a lot of a cookies" omg lol. Last couple yrs we had our yorkie and used to fly down with her and stay in Sheraton or a Universal hotel. Bf that we stayed at the Moderates. Thought a campsite would be less than their Moderate resorts. Was really looking forward to camping onsite in our camper van. I didn't think of this but do only certain sites allow dogs??

:welcome: You're right, the campsites do not come 'cheap', but we've paid some fairly steep prices on the ocean and other 'touristy' places that were not near as nice as FW!!!!

It's location, location, location, and considering that 'nothing' at Disney is 'cheaply' priced, I feel like the campground is 'in line' with most things there!

Yes, there are 'pet sites' with an additional $5 charge per night, so be sure and state, when making your ressies, that you will be bringing your dog.

Hope you have a great stay at FW. It's pretty addictive!! :thumbsup2
