Favorite Boy Name

Which one do you like better? No negative comments please

  • Grayson Kristopher

  • Graham Miller

  • Jaxton Miller

They are all soap opera names.

Graham is the best of the lot, but not with Miller.

Since the poll says "no negative comments please," I'm going to pretend this is one big social experiment to see if Dissers are paying attention and can keep comments to themselves.

Of course anyone could have told the OP that we were going to comment and there would be negative ones.

I like Grayson the most. BUT not sure how I like it on a boy since now I know only girls with the name. Another friend named her dd Gray so even that screams girl to me.

I think my choice is Graham. I am not getting Jaxton. ALTHOUGH I am a GH fan and LOVE JAX:goodvibes

I like all 3 first names, but only if you spell it Jackson instead of Jaxton. Not crazy about the spelling of Kristopher but it is a middle name and, as such, don't think it is as important as the spelling of the first name. I like Miller as a middle name, but not when paired with Graham.

So I like all of the following choices:

Graham Christopher
Grayson Christopher
Grayson Miller
Jackson Christopher
Jackson Miller

I'll take "A Boy Named Sue" for a thousand please Alex.

And by the way, my DS17 LOVES this song.

Yep--the line "I knew you'd have to get tough or die" is what I thought of when I saw those 3 choices.

I know OP didn't want any comments* but c'mon--I hope they enroll that poor kid in a martial arts class as soon as possible.

*--(BTW, good luck with that on an Internet message board!)

Although the only Graysons I'm familiar w/ are girls, I do like the name!

Of the 3 you listed, I think my favorite is Grayson Kristopher, but I would spell Christoper w/ CH instead of K - unless Kristopher is a family spelling or you're Greek.

So... Grayson Christopher.

I know you said "no comments", but I have to agree w/ others about the other 2 choices.

I've never been that fond of Graham because it reminds me of the cracker, but it's an okay name. I like Miller but not really w/ Graham... the M's are too close together.

If you're going w/ Jaxton, I'd just go ahead w/ the traditional Jackson which I really like, so you & your son don't have to go throughout his life spelling his name. (Or just go w/ the Jax - but please not Jaxton.)

Also, if Miller is the middle name for Jackson or Grayson, to me, it looks like two last names strung together - Jackson Miller, Grayson Miller... both sound like the names for a law firm.

Grayson Christopher
Christopher Grayson

Jackson Christopher
Christopher Jackson

Jax Christopher

Christopher Miller

Everyone will have an opinion, but, in the end, it's your baby's name! So go w/ what you like!

Guess I'm the only one so far that likes Jaxton. I think its a great name! Sounds strong and manly. I would call him Jax.

I voted for Jaxton too, guess we're in the minority!

Think of the child you are carrying as a man, going into a business meeting with a suit on, freshly shaven with his name on his business card.

What is the strongest name you can come up with for that future man that he will live with, for the greatest portion of his life??

THAT is the name he should be called.

Of the names listed, I like Graham. None of the others, spelled the way they are, are strong enough to be a man's name, IMO.

I like Graham the best because it is the most masculine and least trendy. It sounds like a man's name and he will be a man for 80% of his lifetime. Grayson is my second favorite and Jaxton my least favorite by a long, long shot.

Middle names are no big deal and fairly irrelevant in my opinion because the only time people besides the parents see/hear those is on the birth announcement and at high school graduation.

Okay, no way on Jaxton. Just to 'off' and too unique. This child/young man will be asked to repeat and spell his name every single time he is asked his name for the first time. And, a spelling night-mare.

If one wants a name with this sound... Just go with Jackson.
One big tip... NEVER use a unique and odd and unknown spelling as the way to make a name unique. It just makes it 'off' and confusing.

Grayson - I like that one. Could be Gray for short.
Grayson would have a bit more uniqueness and character than Graham, while still being a nice and not too off or unfamiliar.

Graham - I like this one okay as well. It might possibly carry a more old-fashioned feel to it. (but, not really to be assumed. I could really see almost any kind of guy with this name)

(and, I agree with the person who said 'soap opera names'.
Definitely!!!!

One thing that I do like is the use of common last names as a first name. Which would apply to all of the names mentioned.

I like Grayson the most. BUT not sure how I like it on a boy since now I know only girls with the name. Another friend named her dd Gray so even that screams girl to me.

I've only known two Grayson's and they were both boys. :confused3 I've never heard it for a girl.

Graham is the least awful of the three and I don't hate it...but Jaxton is just awful.

Me again:

PS: on the middle name, nix on Kristopher, again, expecially because of the lessor common spelling.

With all of the first names mentioned, I really think that a name like Miller fits better. These are all names with a common English history and spelling... while Kristopher is not.

The first time I ever heard the name Grayson was about 20 years ago and he was a business man. I always liked his name. I don't recall ever seeing a girl with the name Grayson but it wouldn't surprise me. There are a number of names that started out as 'boy' names that have switched to a predominently 'girls' name now.

I like Graham too.

OP-- name your little boy whatever you want to name him. You know the meaning behind why you picked those names. But do think about him as a kid in middle school and as a business man or even supreme court judge. He's your baby and it really doesn't matter what the rest of us think about the name.
