What are your favorite baby names for boys and for girls?

I am nine weeks pregnant and we are looking for ideas! Feel free to list as many as want! :goodvibes

Well, I'm partial to Nicole Lauren b/c that is my daughter's name. I love both names and couldn't decide so I put them together.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. How are you feeling? I, too, am trying to come up with names for this baby. I have been thinking Caitlyn if it's a girl and Christopher if it's a boy. Nicole would have been Christopher if she was a boy.

For a boy, I like Daniel.

For a girl, I'm undecided. I'll latch on to one name and get tired of it quickly. My DH is Arabic, so I have looked at (and liked) a lot of their names...Samira, Leila (or Layla), Zahra (like Sarah with a Z), Rania, but I also like more ordinary names. Lately I like Morgan for some reason...I never liked it before. Laura has always been a favorite. Rebecca is nice too.

Boys names:

Logan
Ian
Ethan
Liam
Mathieu
Noah
Thomas
Mason

Girl Names:
Amelia
Adrienne
Molly
Jolie
Lillian
Noelle

I can't wait to get ideas of this thread, I'm also at about 9 weeks and DH and I are already disagreeing on names! Its amazing that we have named two children before this!

Oh, goody. I love thinking about baby names. I have done this since I was 12 - not quite ready for the baby yet, but I like naming them. ;)

Girls:
Claudia (is my top favorite right now)
Julia
Audrey
Nina
Marin
Vivian
Corinne

Boys:
Evan
Isaac
Henry
Wesley
Eric
Kyle
Matthew
Ryan

Good luck picking a name and CONGRATULATIONS!!

These are names I like and would have used if we were able to have anymore...

Boys: Jaron/Jaren, Ryne

Girls: Brynne, Riley, Kennedy

My boys are Adam Tyler & Ryan Matthew - I just love their names!

Other names we considered were Evan & Nicholas

My favorite name for a girl is Megan

CONGRATS! That is the hardest decision we had to make! Wow- we didn't realize how hard it would be! We loved the girl name: Mallory Lewellyn and the boy name Christopher Daniel. Saying that, we ended up doing a different boy name for our ds  Connor.

Don't get me wrong we LOVE the name we did chose, it was just that we had lived with the other name for the whole 10 yrs it took us to finally have ds! So we were sick of it ... lol!

I wish we had not told our family and friends before hand ... everyone but our parent's had some nasty things to say about every name we liked!

We know we are having another boy, so we like Dean, Dane or Devon. Our other boys are Connor, Aaron and Brett...get it a, b, c, d!

Great ideas for names!

Thank you! We are very excited - as is my dd11 (her pic is in my signature below!) She can hardly wait to be a big sister!

We are hesitant to tell names to people too...although I have told my brother - he would not say anything negative and he likes our ideas so far :)

Congrats to all you other pregnant ladies!!

Keep the names coming :teeth:

My kids are Emily Erin and Thomas Holden. I always thought I'd have more so I also like Ryan Joseph and Sara Jayne.

Congratulations!! What a joy.

DD is Catherine Grace-- Grace was my DGM's name and she died 2 months b/4 DH and I got married.

If we had a boy I liked the name Reid Parker-- again a family name Reid was DGGF's name and Parker was my DGM's maiden last name.

Well, I prefer names that are clearly male or female, which can be hard to find these days! I'll never forget the year I taught a Taylor boy and Taylor girl. They were mortified that the other sex had their name. Kids with weird names do still get teased a lot also. JMO.

I also like family names or names from your family's country of origin as middle names. I know this is silly, but I always looked up what my child's name meant, as DD had a friend who was named Rhiannon and was so upset when she found out it meant witch!

Make sure the initials don't spell anything you don't want. My nephew's are B.A.D. and he sure turned out that way. Could not believe my sister did that!

Being an Elizabeth whose parents called me Beth, I also made sure my kids' names would not normally be shorten, especially to a name beginning with another letter of the alphabet. It's been a NIGHTMARE if many situations when being looked up on some computer's files. UGH!

So, My kids are Melissa Marie Rhett Roberts and Kevin Raleigh

Rhett has always been my favorite boy name. I wanted to call Melissa
Joya Elizabeth, but dad talked me out of it. I regret it to this day.
Good luck! I wish I was doing the same thing!

Congratulations!

My DS's name is Lucas, but we also considered Nicholas, Christopher, and Jason.

If he was a girl, we were thinking of Caroline, Andrey, or Natalia.
