Just so you know, in February, I saw CMs turn away many people with small children who only got one fastpass or none for meet and greets. "Sorry," they said, "everyone needs to have a fastpass to be in this line unless they're under 2 and then the parents going in need a fastpass." YMMV but it would be terrible to march up to the queue and be told no in front of everyone and disappoint your kid or kids. Many times a parent would try to argue with the CMs and still be turned away and "helpfully" directed to the nearest fastpass location or guest services no matter how demanding or angry they would get. You might not want to see the characters, but if your kid does and you're in line, you're seeing them. It would totally defeat the purpose of fastpass if anyone or a big group could walk in the line with only one. It's how I heard of the VIP tours where everyone gets fastpasses for the day.

I'm sure there's many people who don't want to ride rollercoasters but have to for their kids. They don't get to get an extra fastpass because they'd rather be somewhere else, just as many others use the snot out of the child swap.
