According to the Disney Parks blog when Mickey moves into his new home he will have Fastpass.
Mickey Fastpass

Personally, I am not sure I like this idea. I don't mind queuing for the characters as the lines move quickly most of the time anyway. And this is with a 2yr old!

I also wonder if it is a cost saving exercise for Disney as in Mickey's tent in Toontown they could have up to 4 Mickeys greeting which stopped the queue getting too long - I wonder if they are only going to have one in his new location and are offering fastpass to stop complaints about wait times :rolleyes1

i like this idea as I as an adult get bored waiting ages for them and this year we will have our 23 month old twins who hate waiting for anything so to be able to get a time is perfect for us

I can see that its not for everyone but it wont be at every park from reading the blog just MK while the expansion happens

I'm all for it. Wait times for some of the characters with their own dedicated greeting spot can be worse than the headliner rides. Sounds like a good move to me. There will be a standby line too.

Crazy idea, but I think it'll work and I'd be willing to give it a try.

Least you can pretty much guarantee to meet the main Mouse at least if you manage to get yourself a pass and it very well could save families time in queues, especially if they have little ones who don't understand why they have to queue for so long.

Seems like a good idea to me, as long as you're smart and grab a FP!

I like the idea.

We have only got to meet Mickey once and that wait was for more than 40 mins because they he had to take a break etc, and it was sooo hot.

Meeting Mickey is one of the things i want to do again this year so this might help :thumbsup2

Good idea i like it. As much as i love him i didnt wait the hour estimated the last time.

Ok - I have a very low tolerance for waits (nothing more than 20 mins!) but have never had to wait more than 30 mins for any character. We only waited 20 mins for Mickey last year.

30 mins was for DD to meet Tink last year and then she hated her when we got there :headache:

I will use fastpass because the standby will be longer but am still convinced it is a cost cutting measure so they can use less Mickey's!
