FastPass+ for Castmembers?

There is a group of 5 of us going to visit our 2 friends, both of whom are longtime castmembers with maingate passes.

For 2 days we are staying at a resort, and 2 days at their place. One of us bought tickets, the rest of us were planning to go with the castmembers using their maingates.

Can the cast members book FPs 60 days out for our resort days, and 30 days out for the other 2 days? Or 7 days out only??

If they are on your resort reservation, they will be able to book 60 days out for those days. (Maybe add them even if they aren't staying there?) For the days without a resort reservation, I was able to book 30 days out with someone in my party who had an Annual Pass. Without adding her to my party, I was only able to book 7 days out. I don't know if it will be different adding someone with regular tickets, but I would assume it's the same.

PAY ATTENTION TO BLACK OUT DATES. Lots of blackout dates for Main Gates at Hollywood Studios this summer. I'll be using a Comp Ticket (that I earned before I qualified for a Main Gate) which is not blacked out. Different types of passes have different permissions.

Yes. 60 days for the resort nights. Since one of you will have tickets, 30 days for the other nights. Assuming the person with a ticket is "friends" with the CM in ME, and is part of the initial FP selection. CM's can obtain the eligibility that their friends have when booking FP as part of a group.

Yes, you will need to become Friends & Family on My Disney Experience.

The CM Guest Passes should automatically link up when the MainGate was linked to their MDX account. Are the CMs regular CMs and not College Program CMs?

And, do they have hard, plastic Guest Passes?

I called and added DH's CM pass to my MDE. Couldn't figure out how to do it online.

Yeah, adding people as Friends and Family is really weird. And I'm not sure if it has changed since mine have been added since 2015. There's a way you can invite people, but I'm not sure how you find people who already have accounts. Like I said, I haven't had to add people in a while. My Main Gate was automatically added to my account when I became eligible. Not sure how. Disney magic?
