Fastpass AP Blackout dates

We have AP Gold passes which have the blackout dates. We decided that we need to go during Christmas. Airfare and resorts are booked. We realize that we will need to upgrade our APs so we can use them for this trip. This apparently must be done on site. We won't be in Orlando until late December.

So over the weekend we hit the 60 day window for our Fastpass registration and boom. We are unable to make any Fastpass reservations.

I have talked to AP people and ticket people. They say that we must upgrade in person and then make fastpass reservations. I explained to them that all of our FP+ options will be gone if we are doing it the same day as our visit.

Do you have any suggestions?

I'm struggling mightily on this one.

You can buy a multi-day ticket to link to your MDE Profile. The entitlements will allow you to book FPs and either immediately before or after you upgrade your AP, move the multi-day tickets to a TicketSaver (fake person) in MDE.

Your TicketSaver will keep your tickets intact until you need them for a future trip or can use them to renew your AP.
