Wondering what you all think would be the fastest way from the Studios to the West Side in the middle of the afternoon? Bus to Saratoga Springs and then walk over? Or take the Water Taxi? Or is there a quicker way? Thanks!

I think the fastest option is to take a taxi from DHS to DTD. I would budget about $20 (maybe a little more), but it's the fastest because it's a direct route.

Right. Thanks for the suggestion. I should have said the fastest free route. We've done taxis a lot in a pinch, especially when we've been trying to get from one resort to another for dinner. But, for this trip, we're on more of a budget. Since, I know we can get their for free, I'd rather not pay for it.

I just wasn't sure if the best option was...

A. Boat to one of the Epcot area resorts, Bus to Downtown Disney
B. Bus to Saratoga Springs, Walk or Water Taxi to Downtown Disney
C. some other option I hadn't thought of

Probably 6 of one, half dozen of the other. Boat to S/D will take about 10 mins, plus a wait between 0-20 mins. Then another possible wait of up to 20 mins for the DTD bus..but the same can be said for the bus to SSR. I think I would do SSR and then take the boat over to the West Side. Probably the most direct route.

I'm thinking I would get on a bus to Caribbean Beach Resort and then from there take a bus to DTD. It is a short drive on one road, Lake Buena Vista Dr.,to DTD from HS. The Caribbean Beach Resort is on that road and between the two. My daughter worked at HS and we did this drive quite often.

You can do that with a bus to Pop as well...whichever one comes first, take it. My only issue with that method is that you are waiting for two buses vs just one if you go to BW.

...or walk to Boardwalk & get bus from there.

The only issue with going to SSR and walking from there is that the Congress Park stop (which is where you want to walk from) is the next to last stop on the internal loop so you will be on that bus for a little while. (Grandstand, Carousel, Paddock, Congress Park, Springs)

HOWEVER, if the BWI is sharing busses with BC/YC/Swolphin, you could end up in the same predicament.
