We are in Disney World right now and have been here for 8 nights. One thing I've noticed during our stay here is that if a ride has a Fast Pass option, you should only ride it this way. Avoid Stand By at all costs. Here's why:
Not once have we jumped in line and rode the ride on Stand By in the time it says. Test Track said 40 minutes and was 1 hr 15 minutes. Tower of Terror said 20 minutes and was 35. And so on...
There are times when you don't need the fast pass option.
1). First thing in the morning after the park opens.
2). If the sign says 5 minutes it's usually walk right on. Not 100% but pretty close.
That's about it. Plan to use the Fast Pass option at most any ride that has it available and it will improve your vacation and demeanor.
One other observation: The CM's don't look at the "dates" on the Fast Passes so if you can't use yours save it for another day and use it then.
