Fast pass +

Don't mind me, just my hourly check in on the thread to see when fastpass is coming back so I can plan a trip...

Seriously, though, do you think fastpass coming back will attract more or less people than shows/parades coming back?
FastPass isn't a deal breaker for me, but shows/fireworks/parades are. I can still have a successful day without fastpass, but WDW isnt WDW without the other stuff

Had it once, but it has been a few weeks

We are 38 days out. I had it maybe 4ish days ago. When I clicked on it took me to a "before you go" to the parks page and then wouldn't display any of my plans. Since then, I haven't seen it.

Yes, that’s the one.
Thanks, I went over and found the mention and then found the blog post they were referencing. It is pretty speculative and vague. They just mention covered FP kiosks in MK and EP which I am pretty sure have been around awhile and reported that in MK "some" were uncovered with screens "on" but nothing displayed. Unfortunately, I would say this is pretty weak, but I am still holding out hope FP news breaks soon.

If you're on tiktok, gooddeedswookie shared a parent Disney filed for new tech very recently that looks like an algorithm for virtual queues for all rides? Worth checking out.

Mickeyviews posted a YouTube vlog today about a rumor that "Lightning Passes" will replace Fastpasses and will be for a fee.

he’s saying it could be like universal but somewhere from $100 per person per day up to $300 per person per day….uh no deal for me…even at $100 thatd add $4200 to my trip in 28 days
For that amount of money, it better be minimal wait and good for all rides lol. Im all for paying a premium, but the juice has got to be worth the squeeze

We did the CLFP back in 2019 and was quite nice to have. However we been to Universal a few times and stayed at deluxe hotels which included free Express pass. It’s by far way better than FP+. FP+ has it’s issue where you have to basically schedule out your date/time for rides. I hope if this Lighting pass comes about, it will be free-flow like universals express pass:, ride where and when you want.

My only issue with express pass was that it does not allow you to request the front row. Which always bothered me as I LOVE the front row on rides lol. I had express pass last time I was there and hardly used it as rides were walk on, or I wanted front row so I waited. This was pre-covid, 2019.

I'm not so sure something like that would work with already crazy ticket prices. Sure they might try, but they would really be eliminating a big share of their market. Perhaps running it in conjunction with regular FP+ (reserved times) could work, but I don't think it would be a wise business move.

I agree that offering it along with a free option would be good. That way those looking to spend would benefit from both platforms and at the same time be getting a return and advantage on what would be a notable premium for the paid version

Yeah right. Never in my life would I pay that. Yes I pay the premium for express pass if I go to Universal cause I can ride all rides in both parks in a day with it.

Disney trips are many days long. I usually stay for 7. I won’t pay that daily. One day yes. Everyday, absolutely not

Never heard of that channel before anyway so I doubt there is any truth to that video. Not sure their track record

I think they should give it to folks staying in the

I think they should give it to folks staying in the deluxe hotels and then a graduated discount from moderate down to value

Disney doesn't seem like a "for free" type company.... lol Unless they're struggling filling deluxe hotels for some reason, which may be the case, but who knows

Hmm, this has never been my experience with the Express Pass - I've always been able to request a specific row on any ride when using EP. Sorry to hear this wasn't your experience!

Hmmm, well I feel cheated LOL. Maybe I will give it another shot then.

Cabanas in Tomorrowland.
Club-level FP+
Minnie Vans

EDIT: Ahhhhhh I misread and thought you said they don't seem like a "for a fee" company and I was ready with a whole slate of examples, LOL!!!!!!!!
