Fast pass +

I kinda tried to watch that video but lost cred when he said Happily Ever After will return anyday now? Find that hard to believe consider they are doing the tracking on castle late night for 50th Anniversay and will have new music , theme ...
I also can’t imagine Disney Tech not crashing but Maybe a system that only allows one VQ per time until it has been swiped as enter the attraction. Then another one can be q’d up ...
My phone is old and would be glitching ...

Yeah right. Never in my life would I pay that. Yes I pay the premium for express pass if I go to Universal cause I can ride all rides in both parks in a day with it.

Disney trips are many days long. I usually stay for 7. I won’t pay that daily. One day yes. Everyday, absolutely not

Never heard of that channel before anyway so I doubt there is any truth to that video. Not sure their track record

He has 120k subscribers (compared to 156k subscribers for the DIs Unplugged) and has been pretty accurate with a lot of rumors.

Additional data point, the fastpass+ sign at space at MK is gone today. (It was there yesterday)

Space is one of the rides where they have the FP sign covered because they typically use an “alternative access” entrance for those eligible to use the FP line. You see the same thing at rides such as EE, JC, Safari, Kali, and a few others. They are generally places where the FP line and standby line couldn’t be used given spacing or congestion at the entrances, depending on the configuration of the line/entrance.

Couple of examples, this article from March, you can see the Space FP sign covered in the article below: https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/03/19/photos-space-mountain-evacuated-in-magic-kingdom

And also here’s a screenshot from this video from last summer after reopening:

This topic has come up a few times at a few different rides because it gets noticed and people think it’s new/it’s a sign of pending changes, although most/maybe all of the rides that are like this have had FP signs covered since reopening.

This is relieving news.

We’ll I guess I was TIRED yesterday. Because I definitely remember seeing it. Goes to show you cannot trust your own memory sometimes. Sorry all!

Don’t worry about it at all. They may very well cover/uncover that sign depending on line status or trying new operational things on any given Disney day, you just never know.

I don’t recall which one it was, but a blog site ran a story a few months ago declaring FP changes were coming because they saw the FP sign covered at, I think it was Safari or EE. Some internet sleuthing later revealed they had been like that the whole time since reopening.

Ultimately it’s hard even for people in the parks all the time to keep track of all these little details.

(Hope you’re enjoying your trip)

It seems like a "lightning pass" option wouldn't do that great for Disney because I think a lot of people would go "hey, instead of saving time by staying at a Disney resort close to the action, lets stay at the I-4 Days Inn and invest that money in lightning pass instead and save even more time by not waiting for rides!" In other words I could see a lot of people thinking a Disney resort isn't worth the investment as a time saver when lightning pass could save even more time. and if they aren't staying a the resort they aren't eating there either... parking there... etc etc.

Disney certainly knows enough about guest behavior, most of the time, to know if you do something that makes you a dollar from some guests and loses 50 cents from the other half, you still come out ahead 50 cents... so I'll be curious to see if their math says this will actually work.

I could see them only selling the Lightning Pass to on-site guests. (Or maybe offering it to them first, and only selling to off-site guests if they don't sell out.) That would be a win / win for Disney. An incentive to stay on-site, at a time when the other incentives are drying up.

I just don't see them saying " Hey guys, thanks for booking that $2000 hotel room, guess what, first dibs on these 100-300 per day lightening passes per person per day " :welcome:

lol I just think they can't not give something for free. If they wanted to do something similar, give the first 3 free, and the ones after that for a fee if they wanna make some money off it.
