Just a glitch

How could they add fast pass when they can't use the fast pass lane? Once social distancing is gone, then yes. But before then? I know that no one is actually socially distancing, but maintaining the fiction seems to be important

Things are quickly shifting in the direction of full opening where I live.

Do you have a trip coming up in the next 30-60 days? I'm wondering why some folks are getting this glitch and not others. I've never gotten the glitch, but my soonest trip is still 4+ months away.

Ok, I have a fast pass button...for 7am Dec 27, which is 60 days out from my trip!! This is seeming less and less like a glitch.

My trip is between 30 and 60 days from now. I am staying onsite. Yesterday, when I got the "glitch," it said that I could make fastpass selections right now. But clicking the link just redirected to a generic page about Disney operations during the pandemic.

I want one too!!! I don't see this on app or on MDE and my trip is earlier than yours

I want FP for the shorter distance to walk through. Makes it much easier pushing my DH in a wheelchair without 300 turns before getting on ride.

If Disney randomly drops masks for vaccinated, adds fastpasses and announces fireworks returning on the same day, I’ll faint.

If/when FP+ returns, Rise of the Resistance should be on the system. I hate the fact that access to the ride comes down to "who has the fastest smartphone?" As discussed on other forums, the virtual queue for ROTR actually inflates demand for the ride, since anyone at DHS will just take a shot to get in a boarding group. If it was on FP+ and standby, looong posted wait times would discourage people from getting in line.

FP+ worked pretty well for other superstar attractions, like FOP, Slinky Dog, Mine Train, etc. And when the big new rides (Tron, Galaxy coaster) start opening, those new goodies will lure people away from ROTR FP+ spots.

Right now, you could plan a multi-day trip and still not be sure that you will get to ride ROTR even once. Frankly, that sucks. At least with FP+, once you snagged a fast pass slot, you know for sure that you will get to ride. The boarding groups seem completely arbitrary; if you don't get a boarding group, you have no clue why you didn't. Maybe you should've bought the latest whiz bang $1800 smartphone and just chucked your old one, even though it still works fine??

It is competely ridiculous that people are not allowed to stand in line. I can not imagine not knowing about ROTR and getting there and being told NOPE you missed your chance. Anxiety. Let's go on Disney vacation. ***

I wish the Disney organization would reinstate fastpasses June 1, 2021. My wish has as much validity and reliability as the "guesses" noted in this posting thread. If you have valid knowledge, please cut and paste the post and the person with the ability to make such a change with the shared info so we know fact from guesses and rumors.

When we went, group of 6, we all had new iPhones and the iPhone 6 was always first to get the spot on ROTR.

Me too! I keep reading about seeing this, and checking and nothing. If they do add Fastpass back, I feel like it’s going to be after our trip anyway and that’s why it hasn’t showed up.

I had the same thought. Maybe that's why I haven't seen the glitch. I keep hoping it will come back in the next few weeks though, especially with so much social distancing removed now!

I think when they come back it will be a 30-day window for resort guests, then 15 for non-resorts. I had thought they'd be back by now because I expect full capacity by July 3, but maybe not. But unless they had to change the software because of the reservation system, I think they will be announcing the return very, very soon.

Just out of curiosity, but for those that see the button-what level resort are you staying at? I have a trip for Sept 30 and haven’t seen it. I’m staying at a value resort. At Universal only those staying at their premier hotels get express pass for free. Maybe Disney is looking over their shoulder
