Universal's Express Plus passes are NOT included with the park ticket and must be purchased separately. Also...they are only good for one ride on each attraction using Express access. If you stay onsite, it's a different matter. You would receive unlimited Express access for all attractions and it's included in the hotel rate.Does universal have "fast pass" equivalent?confused3 I know about EP), is it included with general admission?
Thank you Mac!i couldn't have said that better metro.....
you are always on the mark!
They now have a Express Pass Plus VIP which includeds park admission and unlimited EP, but the prices are crazy.

i was reading that. the one day ticket and ex pass with no limit rides. $150.+
the 7 day admission ticket with epp for unlimited rides. $260 + tax.
i'm sure it wouldn't be a regular universal park goer that would buy that.
if there were 2 in your party, for a one day ticket and the unlimited ep would cost $300 plus tax.
and the other promo of 7 days of admission....2 people x's 2/$260 = $520 plus tax.........
stay on site, get the epp for free. get 2 days of free ep....
use AAA for a room discount and you have a deal.
get the one day ticket at a discount and still come out ahead.
Thats why I said the price was crazy. I guess thats for the person that wants to go for the first time with no time to do it.![]()
I would like to confirm what I have been reading about the Express pass and FOTL pass plus ask a question.
Are they two different passes? (I keep seeing the names interchanged when someone has asked a question about them.)
The Express pass can be purchased before or on the same day that you enter the park. The passes can run out so buy early. The pass allows you one "express" ride on each big ride for that one day.
The FOTL pass comes with your on-site hotel stay. This pass allows you to go to the front of the line for all big rides and shows (that allow this) as many times as you would like for that one day.
Now, please correct me if I am wrong, you are only allowed to use the FOTL pass two times during your on-site hotel stay no matter how long you stay? We are thinking 8 days so we would use it on which days? DH says check in day and check out day.
Sorry for the confusion. I've been all over the web and this site trying to find the answer. I keep reading different stuff and some of the info is really old.
Never mind! I found the Sticky for it.![]()
As an onsite guest, you can use it limitless, it's a beautiful thing![]()
However, they seem to charge a DELUXE price for their hotels... We just want to run over from Disney for a day at each of the two Universal parks during our February trip.
Maybe they should consider adding a VALUE/MODERATE so that regular people can afford to stay there. I've actually considered staying at Disney POP Century but going to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure each day.
