Fast pass question

My DD is scared of HM. If I have a fast pass for HM for myself and my husband with the same arrival time can I ride it first while he watches DD then can he go through the fp line or is the fp already used when one member of the party uses it?

The Haunted Mansion is supposed to be a rider switch attraction, so if you all go to FP+ line together, let the CM know that one of you is getting on and the other is watching DD. They will let the one parent on and should give the other parent a paper card so that the 2nd parent can get right onto FP+ line when the other finishes (without using up an actual FP+!!). Yes, this means that the second parent can pick a different ride with that unused FP+.
