Fast Pass Privileges

I am not asking to be treated like a movie star, I just want about 1 percent more magic or pixie dust showered on me daily !

No offense, but it sounds like you want a little more than 1%.

We already get some of the best accommodations on-site, preferred seating at some special events (flower concerts), members-only gatherings (Homecoming), members-only pins, a fairly good discount program...

The problem is, everyone deserves 1% more pixie dust:

I deserve it when I spend $300 a night at the Poly concierge.

AP holders deserve it for their loyalty.

People staying for a once in a lifetime trip at Pop Century deserve it - it may be the only chance they get.

Honeymooners deserve it because its a special occation.

Stockholders deserve it because they DO own the company

etc., etc., etc.,

Does anyone remember a year or so ago, when Disney was rumored to make PSs available to only onsite guests - and had left DVC out! As well as anyone booking cash only rooms, AP holders, etc (IIRC, the rumor was that you'd need your package number to book restaurants - something we - and all those other folks - don't have).

With regards to having the FP machines in a central location at each park, I agree that would be a logisitcal nightmare, and it would only help on your way past that area. What I would like to see and think would be possible is to add the FP information to the ride toteboard in each park. This is usually in a central location. Currently they tell you what the current wait time but it be nice if they could also tell you if FP was "sold out" for the day or not. If FP was still available, it would tell you the return time currently being offerred. The first part could be done really easily. The second part would require all the tote boards to be computerized and tied together, but still it cold be done.

Granny that stinks! We are planning on doing Universal in Nov and so far I have heard the same thing about their system at US. My neighbor just got back and said the same thing. What a horror it was for the regular guest. We are actually rethinking our plan now :(

I think in November it will be very different. The crowds will be much less than the summer crowds, so I'll bet it works much better. I was just relating my frustration with the Universal situation, and trying to show that I don't think a Disney FOTL for DVC would be a good thing....it would cause the same frustrations with non-DVC guests.

I guess the way I will choose to get my magical moments at Disney, will still try to go only off season.
Especially the MK.

The quietest time I have experienced, making Fast Pass totally unnecessary was the first week after New years beyond the week that connects to New Years.

What is the quietest time you guys have experienced?

It was so quiet, we were going round and round and round through the AEROSMITH Rock N Roller Coaster, and we were starting to lip sync every word in the Back Lot Studio Dialogue that starts off the ride.

By the way, I loved the idea about a CENTRAL TOTE BOARD of Fast Pass Give out Current Times.
Something like that and repeated near each Fast Pass Station (automated of course ) would be great ! That would really be a help !

I will give up my quest for 1 percent extra Pixie Dust !
Besides Disney will most likely be giving me 10 percent extra surcharges instead in some form or other.

I keep trying to say FAST PAST, instead of FAST PASS.
(Kind of changes the meaning to the reality of it on the busy days).

Mid January.

It was cold, but it was empty.

Mid October, although its gotten much busier the past five years. Between Food and Wine, Columbus Day, MNSSHP - its become much more popular.

Although slow times aren't all wonderful either. Spectro doesn't necessarily run - and doesn't run often. Parks close early - if you don't get to the park until noon, really puts a damper on things when they close at 6.
