Does anyone know how many refills you can have in your tank at one time?

I had a little over 12 and couldn't add any more until I used some. Now I'm under 11, but it still won't let me add any.

I have well over 300 and I haven't had any problems adding more.

I haven't gotten the pond yet but are the ugly ducklings actually in the pond? And do they transform into swans?

I have one ugly duckling on my farm now. I don't want to use my farmhands because I don't want the duckling to transform. I think he's cute and would like to keep him that way.

Use the farmhands. Nothing will transform with them. They only collect from the animals, no transforming. My baby turkeys are still baby turkeys and I've used the farmhands several times.

What if you click on a link that someone is giving away fuel, can you add that? That's where the problem seems to mainly be. When I fertilize my neighbors crops, sometimes it adds some and sometimes it doesn't. I'll do one farm and it will give me fuel, the next one no fuel, then maybe 2 or 3 in a row I'll get it again. Then none for a few and maybe back to getting it again for a farm or 2. It's crazy annoying.

That would be annoying. When the new fuel started, I wasn't able to add any. It said I had received all I was allowed for the day. Since the first day, I haven't had any problems. Just this morning I clicked on JOCAmom's fuel and I was able to get it with no problems. I think I am up to 338 fuel refills.

Yep, it is annoying! Even more so now that I know some people can keep over 300 refills! Owell...it's a free game, so I'll just deal with it for now.

The ugly ducklings will not transform when using the farmhands. They will transorm to swans if you choose to do that.

The ones in the pond don't transform but the free standing ones do...if you choose. They will transform into swans if you want...or they can stay as ugly ducklings.

Those crops for which mastery requires a very large number of harvests also are crops that have very short growing intervals. They're ideal for days that you're home sick and have nothing better to do than count-down the 240 minutes until you can harvest and replant. You do, of course, need to intermix them with longer-running crops, which you grow overnight, so say plant blackberries (a 4 hour crop) at 8AM-ish, 1PM-ish, and 5PM-ish, and then plant tomatoes (an 8 hour crop) at 9PM-ish. With that approach, and efficient use of a good portion of your farm for growing crops, you can finish-off blackberries in a couple of weeks.

Thanks....I know that black berries are a 4hr crop as are strawberries and blueberries. I have mastered both of those (strawberries needed 3750 and blueberries needed 12,000 for level 3) and raspberries which are only a 2hr crop needs 15,000 for level 3. I'm just wondering why the blackberries need so much more than the other 4hr crops? Maybe because you needed a higher level to unlock that crop to plant? I don't know. I do intermix my crops, as you said. I do black berries from 3:30am (when I get up for work) until I go to bed at night. Then I'm planting tomatoes right now until those are mastered. Plus I have 534 plots. So with all that....I'm hoping to bang out those blackberries. Then I'll be able to take a break and plant something that takes a day or more. LOL

I'm not sure that there are sound explanations for such variances: I think, in many cases, they do things differently, either just to do things differently, or because they were confronted with some downsides of how they did things before.

How are along are you? According to the chart, you need 825 for level 1, another 825 for level 2 and finally 4,125 for mastery. That's a total of 5,775 which isn't too terribly bad when you consider the 26,250 harvests needed for Blackberries!
