It depends on when you're leaving. CM previews are scheduled to take almost 2 weeks. If I remember right they end on November 2.

Well if they're doing them everyday we are out of luck, we will only be there until the 28th.

I guess our only hope might be the afternoon we arrive. boo! (but thanks for the info!)

i confused hope i can get my answer here with the soft opening is it necessary to attend a CM & AP preview or will the new fantasyland stay open from today on

No it probably won't be open from today on.. .there's still work to do. (I think the little lakes near the Belle show are suppose to have water LOL! ) With soft opening the ride/area can and will close for long periods and there are only "rumors" of the next opening....

And on the days of things like CM/AP/DVC openings there generally won't be any public access.

We're there Nov.24th - Dec. 1st. I'm praying we'll luck out!!:worship:

The official previews start on 11/19. Unless something goes wrong, you will definitely be able to experience everything.

While I enjoyed the Little Mermaid attraction, I actually enjoyed the landscaping and architecture even more!

It has been so much fun to follow this thread today!!! Thank you to everyone who has posted info.

I'm incredibly tempted to totally change our plans for next week's trip so that we can spend four days at the MK instead of just two!!! :scratchin Is that so wrong? But I suspect DH and the kids will not be happy if I spend the whole time standing around a door hoping to see a random CM.

I'm one of those people who went to HS today! We did MK and MNSSHP yesterday. I specifically asked 3 CMs outside of the Belle entrance if there was anyway to get a preview. They said no. Ww chose 2 years ago to come in October because the LM ride was supposed to be open. She is my daugter's favorite. When they changed the date, I was so upset. I emailed one month before we got here asking if there was anyway we could be a part of a preview. She said there were not going to be any. I am so frustrated!!!
Does anyone know if I take her over there tomorrow first thing in the morning, will there be anyway I can get us in to see it? I can't believe we missed it today!

Gonna need a few confirmations on this one before I believe it.

Kenny the pirate had a tweet on his site that CM's were saying the same thing (barring any problems). I too am skeptical, although I would be thrilled!

I'm disappointed that you're intentionally giving website traffic to a website that knew to have it's photographers onsite prior to 9am to photograph the location but at the same time didn't inform its followers of the soft opening schedule which they obviously knew about beforehand.

It's all about getting the scoop and site hits for ad revenue, not sharing accurate or timely information, and you're feeding into that.

Ok, I was one of the people selected to do the new FL tour with the research groups that went through last week. We all knew that the new FL soft opening was going to be this week, and we all knew that the new FL was supposed to soft-open twice before the Oct 12th date, but we all signed agreements to state we wouldn't talk about it until after it happened. I know that our group was mostly bloggers and folks with online presences and none of us were about to risk our websites, for some their jobs, so that they could give the scoop on the soft-opening details. It's just not worth it. I was really happy that Disney even let us in, let us take pictures and video in some areas, with the agreement we could post all of it starting today. You have to remember, a lot of us bloggers like our audiences and we want to pass on information, but we're Disney fans ourselves, and we're business owners all of whom have to operate kind of carefully, and none of us are willing to risk the relationship we have with Disney and compromise our business and our chances to participate in this sort of thing so we can give the scoop before somebody else and satisfy people on messageboards.

That said, there was plenty of information floating around online that a soft-date would be today, so if one was proactive, this date was floated by online friends and family of CMs who were scheduled to work today (and the 6th and the 8th), so if you wanted to find the date, you could have.

Also, what are the chances of some Test Track soft openings soon?

None, and by all accounts, hitting the December reopening date will be a big struggle as effects that they are using for the ride are not going as was intended or hoped. They are quite behind on that ride's refurb.

There are some minor staffing issues, but your friend is correct... From now until later in October, people have been scheduled to work and run the new FL. If it's actually open or not remains to be seen, but people are scheduled to work in it.

So what you're saying is that Disney chose which websites it wanted to support and give special consideration to, correct?

Ones that will do exactly what it tells them to do and only post positive things about them, correct?
