Fantasy Western April 28, 2012

3 weeks people...3 weeks!!!!!
this will be our 6th Disney cruise and I'm just as excited as the first.
Three years between cruises is far too long!!
:woohoo::cloud9::cheer2:

We had a trip planned to Seoul, Korea to visit my brother stationed there. Much to our happy surprise, he received orders to come back stateside , so my wife said "let's go on the Fantasy!". This will be cruise 5 with me, my wife, 14 year old son, and 13 year old daughter. We live in Albuquerque, NM, although my wife is from Cape Coral, FL and I consider Huntsville, AL home. We have always loved the long anticipation so this last minute decision has us a bit off. We have loved the other 3 ships, but the Magic was our first and is still extra special.

I do have one question to anyone who has been @ CC the first week of May, how cold is the water?

In case there is anyone who has one and has changed their mind, or willing to let a family of three split the cost and crash your party we are interested.....It would be to keep my husband out of the sun and a home base for me and my 5 year old DD!!!!!:cutie:

Kaylad2006 - Holly did let hers go but it was grabbed in an instant! Best option is to constantly, several times per day, check online on DCL's site to see if one shows up. Keep in mind that Dis-ers are only a tiny fraction of the Guests on any Disney cruise, and many do change their minds and decide to spend that money towards a future cruise instead.

It's understandable that not everyone is open to sharing a cabana with people they have never met, but there is still time for you to get lucky. If nothing else and if you are willing to pay the full price, be sure to check online THREE DAYS PRIOR to our sail date. I believe that is supposed to be the cabana cancellation deadline.

That's a great story. I am glad your brother is home safe and that you and your family can go on the cruise instead. :thumbsup2
My anticipation has been building up for a year. I am so ready to go!

To anyone here who saw the Maiden Voyage Personal Navigators: Their Pirate night was on Tuesday because they did Cozumel before Costa Maya so were there that day. Our Pirate night is scheduled to be Wednesday because that is our Cozumel day, since we visit Costa Maya on Tuesday. So our schedule for the week will be slightly different. ;)

anybody know when the Castaway Club reception will be? Thinking about planning a bit. I *think* I know, but looking for a more solid answer.

:welcome: Welcome to our cruise! Thanks for signing up on our cruiser list! I edited your listing from "Irene" to your Dis user name, and added Irene to your "cruisers" because you only listed the triplets. You did not give your husband's name but if you post it here I will add it.

Unfortunately, the FE list has closed (as was noted on the cruiser sign-up form and web page), so I had to change you to a "No" for the FE and move you up the list to the "No" section. ;)

Others here can explain the FE better, as I have never participated, but it is not a game. It is a gift exchange among those signed up. They hang a pocketed "fish extender" from the "fish" at their door, and those participating go around and put little gifts in it, and they do the same. The sign-up deadline was March 31 in order to allow everyone to prepare. Unless an exception is made, you missed out. Sorry.

We'll all be sailing just 2 weeks from today, folks! Only 14 days! party: :woohoo:

Hey guys, for being less than 2 weeks than our sail date, it's pretty quiet. It's a lot of fun reading the trip reports from the past 2 sailings!!! Almost done with the fish extender gifts. Hope we get some more action in here in the next couple of days. Looks like the party is going on in Facebook!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

We will be leaving tomorrow to drive to WDW. Very excited, and relieved all the packing and shutting down the house are almost done.

Shari - Duffy and friends are already in the car. We are looking forward to the breakfast meet.

If I don't meet most of you before Formal Night, you will be able to recognize me. My DH walked up to me today when I was packing our formal clothes and said "Close your eyes." I'm thinking I don't have time for this. He hands me something odd. When I open my eyes, he looks into them and says "You will always be my Princess." I am holding an Arribas Brothers tiara he bought on our trip in Dec. Mind you, we are celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year. So, I will be one of those wearing a tiara on Formal Night. Please stop and say hello.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the cruise.

Meg
