I am so excited! Donald won last night!! :cool1::cool1: Right after he won DH said "Cool, but the Packers are probably going to release him." They better not, I can't imagine a Packers game with Donald's smile and Lambeau Leap!

I have all of my stuff ordered on on its way to complete my FE's. Now I just wait...we are 50 days out from leaving. My sister said this morning she would house sit so we don't have to put our dog in the kennel. Not that the dog minds, she get very excited about going to "camp". It will save us some serious money though! Three weeks of kennel costs = :scared1: We will give my sister some of that money though.

Now, if only I could lose about 50 lbs.....

I watched DWTS. My DH told me that packer nation wouldnt let Donald down. Not sure if I told ya but DH is from Wisconsin. It was a great season! :thumbsup2

Your DH is right! This was the 1st time I ever watched the show and it was only because Donald was on. Where in Wisconsin is your DH from?

He grew up in Minocqua and went to the University of Wisconsin in Menomonie. He left Wisconsin in 1995.

It's very pretty up there. We live by Madison. Is there anything from WI he'd like me to bring him - cheese curds, chocolate cream filled bismark...?

You are very sweet to offer to bring him something! I asked him and he didn't want anything. I think he's been away too long to remember! Funny our three children have never been up to Wisconsin!

Hey SA53, Celtics/Spurs could be fun! One more round to go, good luck!

From another thread, The Vista Cafe on deck 4 at 3pm seems to be the go to place for Dis meets on the Fantasy.

The city is very excited!!! With only one sports team, everyone gets behind the Spurs, plus they are so nice!!!!! Thank you for the luck :cool1:

noahsmom, I didn't want to admit it because you were so excited, but I wanted Katherine to win!!! My family comes from Wales and she was so nice and a great dancer as well. My dd was going for Donald, especially after that freestyle, which I have to admit was the best of the night. Okay now I have chickens and trains running around my head :dancer:

The rainforest pass online is for the length of cruise. You can purchase a day pass once aboard on the day or days of your choice. There is some per day savings to length of cruise but since this is the first time on the Fantasy we feel that one day will be enough. We did the rainforest for the first time on the Wonder in Feb. and loved it. The new ships look that much better.

Garak - where did you find the length of cruise pass for the rainforest online? I can only find a one day pass.

Our cruise is so soon.

We are even more excited after going to Disneyland on Saturday. Seeing Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, and Donald all in Western attire just made us even more excited to go cruising with Disney for the first time.

Thanks to tropical storm Daryl it's been a very wet and gloomy Memorial Day. :umbrella: But I did get started on some of my FE's. :cool1::cool1:

Hope everyone else has a great holiday weekend!

It's been hot here for the last 2 days and, sadly, our A/C decided it doesn't want to play anymore. Yesterday we sat in our screen room with the ceiling fan on, today we went to a movie. It's raining now and I have to close windows :scared1:. Thankfully, once this storm front passes the temperatures go back down. That gives us time to have someone come and look at the A/C. Hopefully it's nothing too costly.

Both our upstairs and downstairs AC has kicked the bucket :sad1: It is 95 here today, 97 tomorrow and 98 on Wednesday and icky sticky :scared1::scared1:. We have a friend who does our ac for us and he is away, but worth it to wait since he is cheap and we are going on a cruise!!!!

Too much work to quote from everything above, but here is my attempt to follow up on recent commentary:

RE: rainforest passes. I was speaking from our experience in MR in Feb. I'll have to check the DCL sight again for this trip.

RE: A/C. It must be a DCL budget thing. I turned ours on for the season Friday. It blew nice mild air right back at us. Our HVAC guy came and charged for the 2nd time in three years, but he can find a leak!:rolleyes1

RE: DL. We were in DL in Feb. before our MR cruise. I was afraid it may ruin our desire for WDW this summer, instead it reinforced it. I still reminisce about the food in New Orleans Square. We couldn't find a bad meal there!

RE: FE. DW is working diligently on FE creation. I am really impressed, I hope that you all will be too. She probably would be done by now but I keep dragging her kayaking or hiking. The weather has been awesome lately. Sorry about Beryl's timing on the weekend.

Done with my follow up, now for an announcement:

I changed our WDW stay, pre-cruise from POR to WL. We have never stayed here and DW and I are quite excited. DS doesn't know yet. He is always begging to stay here. He'll probably find out at the ME terminal.

:cool1: doing a happy dance :cool1: The A/C was fixed today and it was just under $200!! Big sigh of relief on that one! We had to replace our fridge about a month ago and that was very pricey, too soon for another big ticket item.

Vacation planning can resume...

noahsmom-happy your ac is fixed. I'll try to think of your chilly house while I melt :rotfl2:

garak-how weird that you have moved to WL. I am about to pull the trigger on the move for after our cruise from POP RR to WL but am worried about the renovations making for a less than magical stay plus the RR look so nice. Worried though about the distance to our rooms for nana and papa. This close to the trip and still am not entirely happy about where we are staying. Funny, I feel very content with our before cruise choice of the Pop though? :confused3

There is a great thread about WL found here:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2778033

They are amazingly helpful and friendly, especially wdwkook. From this thread I have learned where the renovations are, when they should be done, where to request a room. Requests aren't guaranteed but the renovations are being done right with nice buffers between rooms and construction.

POR RR is what we changed from. I was worried mostly about transportation from the resort. Buses tend to be very busy at POR. All of my ADR's where near the Magic Kingdom and Boatrights doesn't serve breakfast anymore. Lastly Wilderness Lodge will be new to all of us. Good luck with your decision!

We will be spending a few days at the Boardwalk before the cruise and animal kingdom after. We love staying at te boardwalk, it is our favorite and Woody and Peyton have never stayed at AKL. We can't wait for the cruise, it's been a rough week for us, one of my husbands boy scouts passed away last Friday and it's been hard on him and my son so the trip will do both of them some good to get away.

disneyfan, So sorry to hear about your loss. It is hard to grasp when someone you care about passes. Hopefully some time at the happiest place on earth will help and remind you how precious our time here is.
