**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

Oh I want to do both!!! I've always wanted to hit the Star Wars weekend.
I'm a Disney and Star Wars geek :dance3:
So my vote is to go to the Disney before and after the cruise, why be tired when you can be exhausted! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Oh - you think like me! :rotfl: I am not so much a Star Wars geek but Kai is. Unfortunately my DH is in agreement with Barb and after leaving him solo for over a week, he is playing the guilt card.

Still waiting to hear on Sabrina - surgery or not and when. My thought was once I got that news, could make my decision for me BUT the flights are SOOOO cheap right now.....

decisions decisions decisions :scared1:

Star Wars weekends start the Friday before the cruise! And since my husband is a Star Wars nut, we'll be at Hollywood Studios that day. (I don't like Star Wars, so having the cruise the next day will help!)

This board was active then got quiet but is starting to pick up again

I just "posted" this very thought yesterday about this thread, but it got lost in cyberspace. :confused3

Hey, for those veterans or concierge or both who get to book at 120 days, I'M ENVIOUS!! Would love to know if any days are already full for booking Palo brunch and/or dinner?

Mati! So happy little man Kai is going too!! I hope he and Gaby get to be buddies....Gaby is the youngest and is always looking for new friends....just because big brother always has all the cool friends over and sleep overs etc.....what is Kai into? Gaby LOVES cars and video games, legos etc..... of course Disney tooo!! Sorry (and Glad ;) to hear that your Dh isn't comming, mine can be that way too...the whole reason we do not have a Balcony....anyway....but we are happy with the oceanview stateroom with the 2 PORTHOLES...I like the layout of that room a lot too...more space to move around..8a..not many pics of it,but there is a wall between the bed and the couch, makes for 2 different areas, and easy access to the bathroom! Most do not have the split bath, but that was just somthing we really didn't care about. having cruised before and being a close family, we so were not going to split hairs over that. I love the fact that we have a wall between our bed and the couch/kids bed and that we each have our own portholes...I would love the balcony, but the DH said he would be worried wvery second that the kids were going to jump! lol, our kids are good and mild by most "boy" terms, so I don't know where that comes from, but I didn't want to spend my whole cruise going.."where are the kids??!?!?!?" I so can't wait, and I am looking forward to watching the ship leave Pappenburg on Saturday and head to the North Sea...to be delivered on Feb 9th to Pt Canaveral....My neighbor is from Germany (her husband is a Hurricane Hunter) and she has been reading the German boards for me just to make sure there arn't any bad comments about the Fantasy like "Oh, I wouldn't sail on that ship, I know how it was built" etc.....and so far all is well! LOL Yeah, I worry! Also, I am with everyone else with my jealousy of Barb...I wish I could spend that much time in the "land of Disney" as well...we were thinking of a few days after the cruise in WDW, but since it's a big holiday, PASS!! We might just spend a quiet weekend in the condo in Destin before we head all the way home......

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to add ourselves to roll call and the FE.

This is our second Disney cruise but our first time participating in the boards and the FE. I have to admit, during our first cruise, we were completely unaware of all of this going on. Certainly sounds like fun. I plan on doing non gender and non age specific gifts for each stateroom so it doesn't matter to me whether you split up the FE list or not.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

I thought I signed up for the FE back in May when we booked this cruise but I couldn't find us in the roll call. I'm now trying to go back through and read all of the post and play *catch-up*. I saw a group t-shirt mentioned in one of the post and would love to know more about that. Counting down the days and can't wait till our cruise!!!

I've been reading the forums as we are on the 19th May Fantasy cruise. We are very interested but unsure what to do to get on the list and don't know what FE is. Help!! Thanks so much, Elaine:confused::dance3:

Hello All!! I am a new add-on to this cruise, this board, and actually DISboards.....I have gone with Cruise Critic before and found out about these boards on there. I have read a few pages into this thread, but with 64 to read, I haven't caught up yet...be patient with me, I am trying to get there! This will be our FIRST Disney Cruise and we couldn't be more excited!!! I have wanted to go on a Disney Cruise ever since I read the Babysitters Club (SuperSpecial # 1 ) in 8th Grade! That was 21 years ago ((sigh)) and now we are FINALLY booked and planning!!! Cruising is myself - Jaimie (33) my husband Chris (37) ((who is a Chef)) My son Nicko (10) and my other son Gabriel - Gaby (7). We (DH and I) were born and raised in Southern California and now live in Biloxi, Mississippi. We go to WDW as often as we can. I actually ran my first marathon there 3 years ago, and go back for all the 1/2's that I can. I also ran last October's (2010) First Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon. I am all about ANYTHING Disney and drag my family along for the fun!! I love to research and check out and plan everything before we go, and so does my oldest son....my DH and Gaby would rather fly by the seat of their pants! I can't wait to read through the thread and get to know all about all of you!! I am so excited and looking forward to this awesome cruise!!!

Hi, I have once again hijacked Tonys account, but I wanted to catch up and saw all the new family's and thought I could get them on one page for Tony hoping it will help so he misses no one! Welcome to all the new foks on the site I look forward to seeing everyone soon:banana: Sues!

Mati! So happy little man Kai is going too!! I hope he and Gaby get to be buddies....

Me too but the way he was behaving yesterday is making me think twice. I have warned him that I do not want to take a "whiner" or a "baby" on this trip. I don't think I could have the heart to pull the plug on him going but yesterday, wow was close! :scared1:

I hope he and Gaby get to be buddies too!

Gaby is the youngest and is always looking for new friends....just because big brother always has all the cool friends over and sleep overs etc......

Funny but that is how it is in our house too. Other than family, Kai has never had a sleepover either at our house or a friends and he is constantly asking for playdates. Kai is my electronic junkie. I have to limit his time on the xbox or computer or we would never see him. He does practice Taekwondo and is working on his second degree blue belt. He is also on a swim team but honestly, doesn't like it much. He does like legos too and loves to play board games. He is also my dancing fool and hoping to enroll him in HipHop dance classes soon. I am sure they will get along!

the oceanview stateroom with the 2 PORTHOLES...I like the layout of that room a lot too...more space to move around......but the DH said he would be worried wvery second that the kids were going to jump!

Wow! Didn't know there was such a thing! We had a balcony last time and I did worry about the kids. This time since I am solo, opted for an inside cabin so I wouldn't worry. We have an inside with magic porthole. I thought about upgrading once I heard that "real" porthole rooms were cheaper than inside cabins BUT we booked ours so early that our rate is still a lot cheaper than anything out there, plus, we are right next door and across the hall from some great friends so, can't imagine leaving that.:banana:

Got you on the FE List! Welcome!

:yay: Welcome to all the newcomers! Our group is just growing and growing. :thumbsup2

We may be crazy but we are going to spend a couple of days at DW after the cruise. There is no way we can do it before and with it being a holiday weekend that gives us a few extra days. Besides, we will already be there so why not go for it.  Guess it will serve as a great reminder why we go in Sept. and Oct.

As for shore excursions, I think we are going do the St. John's trip from St. Thomas. Haven't decided what to do at St. Maarten yet.

Four more months!!!

You know that sounds just like Gaby (AKA Gravy Shrimptoast) We have come up with a system for both boys for good behavior for the next few months.....(although both my boys are awkward boys in the fact that they usually behave really well most of the time...it's odd....) but we created the Disney Happiness Points Chart. It's made out of Black and Yellow paper with Red crayon (tee hee) and the boys had a whole swearing in of becomming Disney Cast Members and as such had to act like Cast Members and would be paid in Disney Happiness Points. Cast Members don't want to be happy all the time, but they have to. They don't want to be helpful all the time, but they have to, etc. Make up your own swearing in.......:rolleyes1 Anyway....anytime we catch them being nice to each other, doing the dishes without being asked, takign out the trash etc...they get Disney Happiness Points....they can't mention they are doig something nice to get them, otherwise, they dont' get paid....we can ask them/tell them to do something and how many Happiness Points they will get for doing such thing. Happiness points can also be taken away for bad behavior or for not doing what was asked..... 5 Happiness points (hash marks) = $1.00 to be spent any way they wish on the Disney Cruise......It has worked well for behavior...especially for Gravy, who has a lot more behavior "Challenges" than Nicko......Nicko has also done the dishes several times this week without even being asked...unloaded and loaded the dishwasher! I was floored........although he lost 2 points for not telling us his science project due date was today- the 20th instead of the 23rd as was written on all our paperwork.....they had been told the new date all week, and we only found out last night...yeah, loosing a few points there buddy! Anyway, you may want to make your own version and see if it works....may help for the next 3 months and 4 weeks.... :confused3 Great talking with you again Mati...maybe we should have the boys start writing each other.......???

BTW....let me tell all who read this ahead of time...I'm SORRY...I type as fast as I talk...which is pretty fast....Cali. upbringing.....dude....so I have typos everywhere...and I can't spell to save my life........SOrRy!!

Also if anyone knows the prices of tux rental for formal night...please pass them on...I'm DYING to get a pic of all my boys the little ones and the big one plus me all dressed up....if nothing else comes from this cruise....I want that!

One more thing, if you havn't had the pleasure of reading this DCL TR yet, I highly suggest it...one of the best I have ever read on Cruise Crittic.... different boat..clearly...but same itinerary.....great writing, great trip, great story!!

sigh...don't have enough posts to get the link in there yet....

so it's boards.

A big welcome to all the new cruise friends! This is going to be such a great big group!!!

Bought the stuff to make some of our FE gifts... So excited! Feels a little closer now :) I keep counting the months on my fingers like a little kid and it's so nice to be less than a hand, haha :rotfl:

*Finally* got the call from the surgeon and surgery is scheduled for next Thursday. VERY glad because I was afraid he was just going to tell me to watch what I eat (which I do-- eat healthy and work out every day-- but I don't want to eat all the yummy stuff on the cruise, where I DON'T watch what I eat and I DON'T worry about it, and then be miserable because my gallbladder declares war...). Just about any time I don't watch what I eat it gets very upset :) So the surgery is good news :)

I hope everyone else is doing well and surviving snow and ice if you have it. I know we'll be staying in where it's warm today!
