We want to get off the boat in Tortola and St. Thomas. Any recommendations for beaches to see and places to eat if we are off the ship for a long time. Do you usually take a taxi to get places or book an excursion for convenience.

One factor for us in our decision making was the large number of other ships in St Thomas when we are there...we booked an excursion to ensure easy transportation, etc...but of course it does depend on what you want to do onshore

I think this is the most we know...The Winter Wonderland Ball is listed with a ? as it is not listed on the pre-cruise info. Also, there has been a Deck the Deck party in the past but we won't know when that is until other MerryTime cruises take place (the first is November 19 - we can hope folks post their Navigators quickly). I believe the Deck the Deck party has been about 4:30 on the last sea day in the past...but I am not sure
12/3 Sat Day 1 embark, tree lighting in the atrium

12/4 Sun Day2 sea day, formal night, free drinks in atrium

12/5 Mon Day 3 sea day – maybe Winter Wonderland Ball?

12/6 Tues Day 4 Tortola – pirate night, Boarding at 5:45pm, fireworks perhaps around 10 pm

12/7 Wed Day 5 St Thomas boarding at 4:00

12/8 Thur Day 6 sea day, semi formal night

12/9 Fri Day 7 Castaway Cay

12/10 Sat disembark

I did some more digging through old navigators for Deck the Deck party scheduling- and found it was on Day 3 (a port day) on the Western...couldn't find it on other cruises so who knows....

I am expecting the "Deck the Deck party" to be Wednesday (St. Thomas day) at 4:30pm on Deck 11, and "Santa's Winter Wonderland" to be the same day at 7:30pm and 10:15pm in the Atrium on Deck 3.

Quick question, is anyone prepurchasing a photo package? Why or why not? We're thinking of getting the 20 digital package and since you can cancel for a full refund as long as you do it before the last day of the cruise, we'd play it by ear.

In my opinion, you have to make an effort to get photographed in order to make the package worth it...pose for photos with the characters, pose for formal photos, with the Captain, etc...just my experience

And we are now below 400 days! YES!
Because some folks may want to purchase holiday themed FE gifts this year for use next year I thought it might be time to get a roll call going....oooo...

My wife and I will be on the November 26th and the December 3rd Cruises. These will be our 20th and 21st Disney Cruise and we are just as excited as if it was our first Cruise. We are avid Disney people, we are DVC members and have just recently hit over 800 days that we visited Disney World and Disney Land over the years. It is nice to see other travelers that are so happy to be going to Disney World or go on a Disney Cruise. If you need 1 more Cabin for the December 3rd cruise for any of the FE groups let us know and we will be happy to participate. If this Cruise has a meet and greet please let me know and we will also participate with that. Sorry our focus has been on the November Cruise and we are just starting to look at fun for this cruise. Hope to meet some of you real soon.
