h&v dine with Minnie or mama melrose's?

No question, Mama Melrose. We have eaten at just about every character buffet on property, and H&V is the only one that we will never repeat. Horrible food and a very rushed character experience.

In a broad general sense, a plated TS is going to have superior food to a buffet TS. There are some venues people may use as exception cases.

H&V is about character dining. Again, with a few exception cases, character dining is more about the former (character) than the latter (dining).

The character interaction was great at H&V but the food was the just okay. Mama Melrose had decent food. If I had to choose I would choose Mama Melrose.

We have eaten at both. We really didn't like H&V but my boys were 8 and 15 so the characters weren't too important. We love Mama's and have eaten there several times.

We have characters at tons of other meals. We don't see Minnie too much and that's ok. I'll have to look up reviews of both. I'm leaning towards mm

Really nice offering with the package for Mama Melrose, appetizers, desserts, entree. But I understand if @mommyof3princess27 has young enough kids to enjoy the Hollywood and Vine Disney Jr. Characters. I can't comment on the food since it has been AGES since I ate there.

I was not overly impressed with H&V when we were there at the beginning of November. The characters were OK but the food was sub-par and the general experience left a lot to be desired. Next time we will choose MM for the fantasmic package.
