Is there a specific area they seat those with the dinner package? If so, are they good seats? Should we do the dinner or wait in line with everyone else?

Thanks

Yes its a special seating area to the right of the stage. Many people have said they don't think they're such great seats, but everytime we have gone (usually in the summer) it was worth it just to have an actual seat! We did arrive 90 minutes early and it was SRO by the time we got to the entrance! I was very jealous of those that had the package seats because although the whole theater was packed, there were plenty of seats in the dinner package section. Eventually, they let us sit there once the show started since all the seats were not taken. I thought they were fine.

So I think it depends on when you are going to be there and how busy it will be. If you are going to eat dinner anyway, I would think the package would be worth it. JMHO.

My DH, mother, stepdad, DD2, and I did the Fantasmic dinner pkg last month. We ate at H&V and really enjoyed it. The seats are to the right of the stage and I thought we had a very good view of the show. There was only 1 show of Fantasmic that night which was why we chose to do the package. We walked right in and sat down and didn't have to wait in line at all. The show was SRO that night and I was very thankful to have a seat and to have not waited in line for 1-2hrs. They did stop letting people into the show about 1/2 an hour before it started. I would definitely recommed it.

We did the package last trip and are doing it again this year. We are doing H&V. The seats are to the right, but you can see everything. With three kids (7,4,2), we can't wait for 2 hours to do anything, especially stand in line.

We felt like it was worth the money. The food was good, we had a nice time at dinner, then walked right over and sat down in our seats. You have to be at your seat about 45 minutes before the show starts, but once we were seated, the kids could play around and they were fine.

good luck whichever you decide.

We used the Fantasmic Package twice, both times at Hollywood & Vine, which has a more than adequate selection of food to satisfy the picky eaters in my group.

The first time in June, we didn't start up the path until 30 minutes before the show began. We were lucky to get some of the last seats on the far right. It was difficult to see the show's action at times.

This February, Dad held down the fort 1 hour early while we shopped. The CM's gave us 1/2 of our tickets back for re-entry. My DH snagged a seat on the far side of the reserved section's rope. We had a great angle to see the show and I got some great pictures.

Lastly, I think one of the best features of the plan is the quick escape route out of the park to catch the bus before the crowd.

Can anyone suggest a seating location within that area to sit? To the left? To the right? In the middle? Back, front?

Is it real easy to get to the buses? or do you get cattle shuted out?

Think of an uncontrolled rope drop to Space Mountain. Since I've always drug the family up out of our seats before the "curtain falls", warning them of the long stand on the bus back to the resort, we've had no problems. My son did comment that it was a good thing I believe in the Ohana theory of: 'family, no one gets left behind' or he would've been a gonner for sure.

Once I waited 2 hours for a stupid bench seat. It was dead center, about 15 rows from the stage. The wind must have been hard that night because I actually got wet. Did the package next year and sat to the right and I did not get wet and saw everything. I've sat all around the theatre...I think you can see from anywhere personally. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

It depends on when you go. We just got back, went to MGM about 4 days ago. We did not do a package, and entered the theater about 1 hour before showtime. Got great seats right up the middle. But if I was going in the summer, I would definitely get a package. Also, if you park at the Boardwalk, you can take the boat over. This really helped us after the show, didn't have to wait long for a boat to get back to the hotel.
