Would you recommend the Fantasmic dinner package? Do you know if Hollywood Brown Derby has a children menu? We have two boys, 5 and 7. I'd love any info on your experience. Thanks!!

HBD has a children's menu; it's on AllEars and the Disney site.

If you want guaranteed seating at Fantasmic, the package can help. Basically, you're paying for a 4th FP+. HBD is the most expensive option. mama Melrose is the least expensive.

I recommend reading the menus and looking at the pricing to decide if you see value.

Not only is it guaranteed seating, but it's seating in the center section or one adjacent to it. Fastpass seating is the adjacent section and the one beyond it on the opposite side. Standby seating is at the outer edges of the amphitheater. We've done both Mama Mel's and Hollywood and Vine and think it's totally worth it. Be aware, though, that at MM's the package has included an appetizer, any entrée, but for dessert you get a "sampler" for the table to share rather than a regular item off the dessert menu.

Pricing aside, we went there last Feb with a party of 11. There were kids that were 2,4,5 and 7. The service was great and the kids seemed happy with their meals.(I think it was the most they ate out for dinner all week) They liked getting the 3 courses for dinner. We also really liked getting the preferred Fantasmic seating.

I really enjoyed doing Mama Melrose for their Fanstasmic Package, which actually does save you some money between the appetizer, entree, and dessert (sampler) if you tend to go for more expensive items off the menu. When I went in January 2015 I believe it was $37/pp and for the appetizer and entree we were able to pick anything off the menu. I assume the same is true for the Hollywood Brown Derby, which when I looked the other day was $58/pp. I would look at the menu and if it is something you would eat and are willing to pay for, the additional fastpass is always nice to have.

if you plan on eating a table service in HS and plan on seeing Fantasmic on the same day, yes I recommend it. Personally, I think mama melrose is the best value.

When we have the Fantasmic! ticket, we are always front and center for the show. It's been fabulous.

We have used at Brown Derby and really enjoyed the food. It did save us a few dollars. We had wanted to eat there anyway and had good seats at Fantasmic.

We've done it once for Mama Melrose and loved having reserved seating for Fantasmic. We are doing it again this next trip!

We always do a fantasmic dinner - at various restaurants and love it. My daughter loves sitting in the very front row center and we get those seats every time. Yes we get a bit wet too.

We always do the package and book Mama Melrose. It is a very good value, IMO. I cannto speak for the other restaurants, but we enjoy MM. WE also like to have the mela booked earlier rather than later, it makes a nice break in the middle of the day.

When do you need to line up to get these seats if you have the package?

Last trip - Thanksgiving - was a bit different because of scheduling issues they gave us tickets to the second show and we got in line about 30 minutes before show. We were hearded with the masses and then split off with the fast pass people one way when general seating went the other way. I was afraid we had no chance of low seats since there were so many people. There were lots of people sitting up high but we went all the way down and sat on a little bench right by the water. It looks like it might be handicap seating because the bench only seats 2-3 people but it is general seating. I cannot remember how early we went the times before when it was first show but I imagine 30-40 minutes is what I would have done. A lot of people stay away because of the wet zone but in the middle it has only been mist if that. We enjoy chatting with the people selling the light up toys before the show since they stand right beside us.

Thanks!
