Is this more $$ than just eating at the restaurant for dinner? Is there a limited number of these? I can get an ADR for dinner but not for Fantasmic! :confused3

Same $$ and menu, they just give you a pass and special entrance to get into the reserved seating section of Fantasmic. My only guess would be that they were out of reserved seating.

DIS dining section says the Fantasmic dinner package is a set price, for example $29.99/adult at Mama Melrose's. So is there a set menu?

We want to try Mama Melrose's anyway, and getting to basically "fastpass" Fantasmic would be great, seeing as how we usually wait for over an hour to get a good seat.

Is the reserved seating at Fantasmic worth it?

They may have changed it since I last did it, it used to be the regular menu.

If you're going at a busy time, then it's probably worth it. Last time we went we skipped the package because I was tired of sitting off to the side. We waited till it was close to show time and had no problem getting in with very little wait.

We dothe FDP at MM every trip. Our kids actually like this place so DH and I sit and relax. We have always had a good meal here. There is a set fee, and you need to provide a CC# to hold the adr. There are only so many passes given out. Your card is only charged if you do not show up for the ADR. You can cancel 48 hours in advance wihout penalty.

At MM there used to be a special menu for the package, but now it is the same as the regular non package menu. If you are on the DDP, it is 1 TS credit.

Same menu as a regular ADR.

You must give a CC to hold a Fantasmic Package ADR. You have 48 hours to cancel before they'd charge your CC.

Yes, you can book an ADR one of the participating restaurants and eat there but NOT do the Fantasmic package if you want to, but I guess if you want to eat there, you might as well do the package.

Yes, the package ADRs can book up so call early. Same with a regular ADR though. There are only so many of each.

IMHO, the package is only worth it if you go during peak season or a very busy time of year.

I've done Fantasmic with and without the package several times now and have decided that it's better doing it without the package. Now I can eat where I want to (or not at all) and then I enter either 1 hour or 45 minutes before the show and get great seats in the middle, about half way back. When I did the package, I still entered at 45 minutes before but sat to the far right.

The package seats are guaranteed seating (till 30 minutes before the show; then they can, and sometimes do open up to the general public), not preferred seating. They are off to the far right.

Do we have to sit in the reserved area if we have tickets to Fantasmic or can we just use them to get in the "fastpass" door and then move to the middle? I have never been to Fantasmic and this is my 7th trip! We are leaving in 9 days and thought we may need the package due to being the week free dining starts.....
