I am really interested in doing the Fantasmic dinner package (not sure where to eat) but I have promised DH that this spring break is going to be a very laid back, "go with the flow" kind of trip. Last time we went is was a relatively short trip (5 nights) and DH had never been there before so we did the park commando thing - up every morning at 7, in a park til it closed. This time we'll be spending 8 nights (dates March 26-April 3). I guess my question is - what are the chances for making a reservation for the dinner package after we get there if we are very flexible about place and time?

over spring break we found it nearly impossible to make ressies
the day of! you may want to make a few and you can always
cancel the only one that charges you is the castle!!

i would go ahead and make them in each park for each day you will be there and if you change your mind, it will just mean the
resturant will have another table to seat someone else at...

Fantasmic Package does charge if you do not cancel before 48 hours of your priority seating. So does the dinner shows and the Princess Storybook Breakfast.

I was fexible and asked for fantasmic pkg. at either mama melrose or hollywood and vine any day or time from april 6-13 and she said nothing was available. I got hollywood and vine but not on the fantasmic pkg, just dinner. So I would say, unless there is a cancellation, your chances would be slim since its a busy time of year. But maybe you will have a dose of magic come your way. Good luck.

Well, I've given up on the "no scheduling" idea by this time. I've already made 9 PS's including Mama Melrose's for FDP. I guess we can still be lazy and hang around the hotel but at least now we'll have something to eat!;)

I go at slow times of the year so this may not apply to you. I've always gotten my fantasmic pkg dinner on the same morning at the park. I don't like to make this seating ahead of time because I don't want to be rained out.

You are braver than I! I consider 2 PS's in a week to be the maximum! I don't like being tied to meals, as I have to graze throughout the day rather than eat large meals.

It sounds as though you really enjoy the atmosphere of many different dining experiences! Enjoy!
