Fantasmic Dining Packages for January 2023?

When will Fantasmic Dining Packages for January 2023 be available? Today is November 30, 2022 and you can only search for Fantasmic Dining Packages up to December 31; dates after that do not allow you to click on “Search Times” as no times appear for you to select in the drop down menu. If we are within 60 days of our arrival, why aren’t we able to book these dining packages? We’ve had to book just a regular ADR for dinner in Hollywood Studios since those are now fully booked. Will Disney open new availability for dinner at the restaurants if and when they make Fantasmic Dining Packages available in January? Or will we be allowed to upgrade our regular dinner ADR to a Fantasmic Dining Package?

You definitely cannot upgrade regular dinner to Fantasmic Dining. If and when the dining packages release, you’ll need to book one.

They will have set aside a separate number of reservations.

And you would have to get an answer from Disney as to why they aren’t available yet. Several of us have spoken to them, and pushed the issue to no avail. To more than one of us, they have given the reason that they were waiting to see what the schedule would be for entertainment for that evening, but now that they already have had the schedule up for a few weeks, their excuse is not holding water. Unless they plan to change things….

If you want to take the risk, Disney is currently changing meals from regular dining to Fantasmic packages. It doesn't always work, but I did it earlier and changed from an 8:30 am H&V breakfast to an 8:30 am H&V Fantasmic package. Be prepared and have two sites open, My Plans page and a Fantasmic Dining booking page with the restaurant and date filled in and the hour you want but don't push search until you cancel the meal on plans plus confirm cancellation, then click on search on the booking page and cross your fingers. It may not work so be prepared. No openings on Sci-fi so that likely won't work.
