Does anyone know if the reserved area is the same for all three dining options?

In the past BB and RBT had their own distinct areas and "on the go" got you a regular FP without having to get to the park early to pull one. There was briefly a reserved section for the Hungry Bear dessert party before it was discontinued. It's possible they could bring that section back now that on the go packages will be at Hungry Bear, but that might be temporary, and capacity for those meals is likely much higher than the dessert party and the section probably wouldn't be big enough. I think it will likely be a regular FP.

The wording describing the F! viewing areas all being standing (with the exception of HC) is the same as the wording describing the WOC viewing areas all being standing (with the exception of HC, VIP, and Dessert Party). This makes me think it will really be standing so that they can get more people into the viewing area. I think a lot will depend on how things go the first few weeks after F! returns. If the standing-area-only plan flops, then Disney will have to adjust in some way.

On the note that all sections are standing only, I wonder if they mean that there are standing only portions of the BB and RBT sections. Or if it's just a warning that the people in front of you may stand. Even if the old camping out days you could occasionally end up with a person who wouldn't sit or wouldn't collapse their stroller no matter how many times the CMs asked them to. It's also possible that they used the WOC page as a template and missed that exact wording. I'd expect at least the BB section to be mostly seated.

It is hard to say. At one point RBT and BB were separate, but when we did it in July 2015, they had combined them. They had separate lines, but they filtered in to the same area and they were not keeping them separate. I could be wrong, but I think Hungry Bear was always a separate area. Guess we will know the first night. Honestly, I'm kind of hoping they are together at least for July. I didn't even attempt to switch my RBT to BB this morning and if BB was already mostly full with Parade and regular diners, then maybe there will be more space to spread out for the first couple of weeks.

Finally got through after 45 minutes and spoke with the best cast member ever! I was able to book a BB package! Now I just have to decide which to keep.

I asked a few questions about the seating etc. Here's the info I got:

- BB and RBT packages will be sitting on the ground in the same places they were last time. I didn't ask about Hungry Bear, sorry.

- BB and RBT will have the option for a F! themed dessert. I believe she said BB's has a Sorceror Mickey theme and RBT includes the dragon.

-There is a premium option at BB for $90 which includes a fastpasses for F! and the reserved seating for MSEP along with a "premium drink" (she didn't know what this drink would be exactly).

-She believed the walkway in front of RBT would still be open during the premium viewing at 8:00, so this wouldn't be an awesome view, IMO.

-She thought the cutoff for getting fastpasses for the first showing was 6:30, but she wasn't sure on that one.


Sorry if any of this is repeat information. Hope everyone is able to get the reservation they want!

I am experimenting with trying to book any reservations at all right s now, and am getting the Paws message for anything.

I only seem to be getting the Paws message for BB, both Fantasmic and regular BB reservations. I've been able to make other reservations online, including RBT F! package.

I did that at first, too. they will tell you to call Disneyland, and transferring you will take a minute or so if you ask them to.

I did the same thing and got through to a CM and was told that they could only help with WDW dining. They gave me this number for DL dining 714-781-3463. Good luck!

Yes, I just put the phone on speaker and went about my business. They picked up right when I typed it, but still a long time to hold.

Great information, thank you!! I was going to give up my BB pkg for a Premium seating pkg at RBT but after reading this maybe I'll just try to change it to the Premium BB pkg and get the parade FP as well.

If I can get through...been ringing busy for me for 20 minutes. At least I was able to get the BB pkg booked online so I'm not stuck with nothing.

So my experience was I called having a BB reservation already for July 17th at 4:30 pm. The cast member said that there was no availability for the dining package, however he then said that he would go talk to his lead. He came back and said that he was putting a note on the reservation that it should be a F! package and that that would be enough to get the package. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I just did the same thing. I was given a new confirmation number so hopefully it's all good!
My only concern is that my reservation was for 8:40 and the show is 10:30...Is that going to be too close. The CM assured me that it's ok, but I'm sure that will make us at the back of the section and if it is indeed standing only I'm afraid this will be a waste of time. Waiting anxiously for reserved area info!

i hung up when she didn't come back to transfer after 5min -- i have a reservation for RBT so I will just wait to see the reviews on the dining and viewing to see if the price is worth it.
i will keep trying online throughout the day and see if the system fixes itself and anything remains available.
