Need some advice...we were planning on seeing the Fantasmic show at 8pm; however, the schedule is now showing the Star Wars fireworks show will be going this night also but it starts at 8:15pm. Since the timing will not allow us to see both...which is better to see?

I would love to know people's opinions on this too!! We have never seen Fantasmic (cancelled because of rain on our last trip), so really wanted to see that and fireworks, but now Star Wars fireworks are scheduled 15 mins after F!, so impossible to do both.

I cannot speak to the Star Wars fireworks, but Fantasmic! is my all-time favorite show at WDW! it is amazing...always brings tears to my eyes! Even the music, which is currently my ringtone!:cool1:
My advice....if you've never seen Fantasmic! I think you should, definitely. I can get my SW fix during the day, get my fireworks fix at Wishes, but nothing else is like Fantasmic!

Two nights at DHS.
This is a brilliant idea if you can swing it!

I know this has been asked, but for all you SW fireworks experts, I have read that much of the show needs to be viewed from inside HS. We will not be going to HS, staying close at BWV, so we would like to catch some SW fireworks.:scratchin WHERE in the experts opinions, is the BEST place to view the SW fireworks from OUTSIDE HS?:confused3:confused3 TIA!:goodvibes:wave2:

OP this is a personal choice:
Fantasmic!: show with Disney characters, music, water projections, some fireworks. Telling a story about dreams and nightmares
Star Wars a Galactic Spectacular: Star Wars show with projections on the Chinese Theater and screens next to it, lasers, fire, special lighting and fog effects. All set to John Williams music
Is your family more a fan of one or the other?

@Robo usually has the very best, most utd info with maps. If we ask nicely, maybe he will help us out! (Please and Thank You Robo)
I'm curious as well, we have an 8pm ADR at HBD the night we are planning to catch the SW fw, and would love to have a concrete plan!

Inside the park:

Outside the park:
Good views along the plum-colored pathway inside the area that I shaded in green on the map below. AND, just outside the park gates.

Just to add that if you are inside the park Echo Lake is no longer a good place to watch this show, not even just the fireworks, as they are toward the right of the Chinese Theater. The new show rely heavily on projections on the Chinese Theater and screens next to it so the best view will be on Hollywood Blvd. from the projection towers towards Center Stage

THANK YOU @Robo ,
You're the best!
Love your maps with such clear directions!
Last year we were there for the inaugural SW fireworks (in December) but they were not as elaborate as they are now. We stood in front of the small kiosk that sells souvenirs (right in front of #1). Will we be able to see the laser and projection part of the show from there, or should we plan to be farther up Hollywood Blvd?
Thanks

From what I've read with the new show with the projections on the Great Movie Ride you need to be at Center Stage really, the very front bit of green on Robo's map or where the 2 is.

The closer to the Chinese Theater end of Hollywood Blvd., the better.

I had this same question when I was reviewing the new park schedules yesterday. It seems odd to me that they would overlap the two. Wouldn't fireworks going off behind you kind of distract from Fantasmic, or are they far enough away from each other?

Each has their opinion but I recommended to a friend to focus on Fantastmic and if they catch part of the SW show they are lucky. This is their first time. IMO for a family with smaller kids, F! Offers more. Seating, concessions, bathrooms, a real show.

We habe seen F! 3 times, loove it but will focus this time on SW.

What's the best place to see the fireworks inside the park? We'll be there in August!

We are going to try for 2 different nights, F! is my favorite show at WDW, but we are huge SW fans too and have never seen this. I see no way to comfortably do both on the same night.

Personally I love Fantasmic!!! It's my favorite, more do than wishes. Star Wars was good but if I couldn't do 2 nights I'd see Fantasmic. You need to decide are you a bugger SW fan or do you enjoy the characters???
