How does this work? Sorry first time to Disney we leave in 7 days.

Do you order your meat? and than they bring the side dishes.


Would the menu change at all?

Depends on the restaurant...for example..Liberty Tree Tavern. All the food is brought to the table..you do not order, its justs a premade menu..Thanksgiving type food.

Ohana's they bring sides & dips & then bring you the meat..You can ask for what you want or do not want.

We are going to the Garden Grill on Easter.

Oh, at GG they bring you a platter/plate of ffod for the table. If there is something you do not want you can ask them to omit (like we don't eat the catfish).

AT GG it is a pre-set menu. They bring you everything on the menu, unless you ask them to omit an item. If there is something you want more of they will bring it to you. It is all you can eat just served at the table rather than on a buffet.

With these family platter type meals-I'm thinking specifically Garden grill here-what happens if you dine alone? I'd really like to do this character meal next time but I'm really bothered that they will bring a mountain of food to the table and it will get wasted-although I love my grub I get so excited at WDW that I can't eat much

I dont think the portion's at GG are big. They bring more if needed but my fat a*s could eat one of there platters by myself.
