You know, DS18 was and is very adventurous. DS9 is as well, and says he wants t grow up and be a chef someday. He loves watching Anthony Bordain and Andrew Zimmern (you know, the Bizarre Food guy) on the Travel Channel with me. The more exotic the better or him. DD7 is not there yet, but we are trying to get her to at least try things. She is going to be harder to crack.

Lovin the live review! Those burgers looked great. We have never eatin at Le Cellier so looking forward to your review. Thanks for taking time out of your vacation to tell us about it. It is great fun! :flower3:

Thanks to those that have joined in - we are happy to have you with us. I learned so much from reading the DIS and reviews from others that I felt I had to share. I know how it is while you are waiting for your next trip.

Before I get to Le Celier, I need to take care of the snacks.

DD and DS9 both decided they wanted Aloha Isle again and went WI Citrus Swirls. DS18 wanted some pineapple juice, which was $1.69 - so I just paid cash for that. I will add that in to my totals at day's end. Here they are with their treats:

DS18 and I made a quick stop into the Main Street Bakery. I got some Banana Bread Pudding (I think I mentioned I love bread pudding already, right:hug:) and DS18 got an apple turnover. We got them to go as we were still full from those burgers. Sorry - no pics:confused3.

We decided to leave MK and head back to the Boardwalk, and it's a good thing we did, because as soon as we got on the bus, the rain started to come down really hard. DW passed on her snack for the day, so we just cashed in 4 snacks.

So if we paid OOP, the 4 snacks and the pineapple juice would have cost us $14.01. On the DDP, we paid $1.80 for the juice, and 4 snack credits.

We are going to kick back and watch Narnia: Prince Caspian, so I will do Le Celier later on.

LeCellier was one of our favorites, can't wait to see your photos of it.

Looks like you are having such a nice and relaxing time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your trip and your family memories with me! Of course its for all of the DIS but since it is so helpful to me I feel like you just knew I needed the info;) I am especially thankful for the price comparisons because I am having the discussion with my DH about whether it will really be cheaper for us or not. As everyone has said, your family is beautiful and so sweet for letting you *harass* them with their food! Tell them we said, thanks!! Well, enjoy the rest of your trip and I will be looking for more as you postpopcorn::

Hi
Thanks for the great reviews!! You have a beautiful family and looks like you're having so much fun. I love seeing the pictures of the food. I've been to Cape May Buffet three times, and the first two times were really good, but this past December, it was pretty bad. My DD said the clams were really sandy. I don't eat meat, and even the pasta dish wasn't good. We probably won't be going back.

Hey there, neighbor (I'm in Orange County!!) Love your Dining report so far. Great reviews!! Love live reports!! :thumbsup2 Waiting for next installment popcorn::

Wow! Peco's Bill's, Dole soft-serve, and Le Cellier all in one day? Those are three of my very favorites at DW! :thumbsup2Hope you enjoyed your dinner! I am loving your reviews!

This is such a wonderful report! The boardwalk is near and dear to my heart for many reasons so I love seeing the pics and hearing about your stay there. You've gone to some of my favorite restaurants as well.. that would pretty much be my dream trip! I'm still dying to go to LeCellier but I live in Florida for half the year and we don't plan far enough in advance to get the ADR. Enjoy the rest of your vacation!! Have you noticed any of the rooms being rehabbed yet? I can't remember when that was supposed to start..

Thank you to the new folks joining in - I am glad you are enjoying it:banana:.

I have not heard of room rehabs yet, or seen any construction going on, but I will see what I can find out.

OK - I guess I left you all hanging long enough; let's talk Le Cellier.

We quickly headed over to Le Cellier yesterday from the Boardwalk, as I had mistakenly thought our ADR was at 5:45, but when we left I looked at my ADR list and saw it was really a 5:35 ADR; and it was 5:25 and we were still in our room:scared1:. For anyone that has stayed at BWV before, you can probably appreciate the long hallways. Well we are at the very end of the hallway, farthest from the Boardwalk. So, off we started walking, figuring we would be really late. We walked all the way to Canada, and got there about 5:37. 12 minutes door to door, with kids, bag check and entry into EPCOT - not too bad:thumbsup2. That should give you all an idea of how close we really are to the park - if you have never been here of course.

So we waited outside for about 15 minutes for us to be called. I saw lots of people being turned away, as they were completely full. I started speaking to a greeter and asked her how many rotations they go through a day. She said that they start seating for dinner at 4:00 and go through 4 rotations, last being 8:45. That is a lot of steak in one night!!

I was seated against one of the back walls, and chose a seat facing the wall (where my kids were seated) so I forgot to turn around and take a picture of the restaurant itself. The theming is supposed to replicate eating in a cellar.

Our server was the best we have had so far at any restaurant. She was knowledgeable, fun and was quick with everything. Total time we were there from the time we sat down until we left, was 1 hour.

I mentioned that this was my most anticipated meal, mostly because I had heard great things and the name of the restaurant has the word "Steakhouse" in it. So, when I think of steakhouse, I think of Ruth's Chris, Houstons or Flemings. Le Cellier was very good, but IMO, not as good as the aforementioned places. However, I can't walk into Houstons with shorts and a polo on with sneakers, so Le Cellier gets a thumbs up for that alone:thumbsup2.

The waitress suggested that we could get smoothies on the regular DDP; which was the first time we had heard that. Not sure if it was the restaurant that allowed it, or we should have been offered them elsewhere - but either way, we got some. Here is a shot of mine and DS18's:

I had heard a lot about the Ice Wine here, but neither of us felt like wine this meal, so we skipped it. I already had the main course picked out before I even got here - I knew I was going with the Fillet with Mushroom Risotto. DW and DS18 also ordered the same thing:
P1000522.JPG

Oh, I forgot to mention that DD and DS9 were able to order an appetizer with their meal. DS9 ordered the cheese soup with a steak and green beans, while DD ordered the cheese soup, and plain pasta w/butter. She did not like the soup, so of course, I couldn't let it go to waste. It was fantastic!!! I must say though, that I assume the kids get a smaller portion, and I am not sure I could have eaten much more of the soup if I would have ordered an adult portion - so this was just right:
P1000520.JPG

On to desserts. The kids get a choice of fruit cup or make your own sundae - of course they got the sundae:
P1000523.JPG

DS18 got the maple creme brulee - very good!!:
P1000528.JPG

DW got the smores - and of course DD7 knew she was going to be in the picture and just had to be silly:
P1000526.JPG

I was full from my fillet, plus I had bread pudding:hug: for snack, so I didn't feel much like dessert. So, I ordered something that I thought would be fun for my DS9. You see, several years ago, his cousins Wyatt and Savannah went to Yellowstone and brought him back a stuffed moose - who he named Mr. Moose. Mr. Moose is his all time favorite "buddy". Here is a photo of Mr. Moose taking up the couch here at the Boardwalk:
P1000530.JPG

So, I just had to have the waitress deliver my son the Chocolate Moose for fun. We all had a bite, it was pretty good:
P1000525.JPG

All in all, it was a very good meal, and well worth the money, even if paying cash. So here is the math:teacher:

If we paid OOP it would have cost us an even $164. On the DDP, it cost us 3 adult TS credits and 2 kid TS credits. This is one place I would do again:yay::yay::yay:

So for the math on the day:teacher: If we paid OOP for lunch, snacks and dinner - we would have paid $231.46. On the DDP, we paid our standard $141.95 plus DS18's pineapple juice of $1.80, so a total of $143.75. Still in the black every day. Not too bad at all:woohoo:

Now we are off to AK, and dinner at Boma tonight. I'll chck in later...
