Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

I'd get you there quick! This is a Sea Ray... not a 15mph searaycer! :lmao::lmao:

It is not mandatory but they just continuing following her till she is 18 and possibly beyond. I'm not sure if this is going to be to addition to her regular checkups or if this is instead of her checkups. I will find out more info tomorrow. The reason to do it is to help doctors get more info about chemo and the effects of it to help them make better medical decisions in the future.

It would make sense if it were in lieu of her regular appts., but to put her through MORE pokes would be hard. Poor thing! I hope she gets lots of ice cream afterwards!

I'm back, you are hilarious. I'm up to the MJ explanation, though I already knew the story from the PTR :lmao:

so boogers, bird poo, drinking, cold hot tub, big crowds....

adorable children, great friends and memories.... and some pretty cool DIS meets

can't wait to read the rest and finish getting caught up, but it is way past my bedtime :)

:welcome:
Thanks for joining!!!

Thank you for the nice complements!

I've never heard of the Charlie Sheen reference before. Back in high school my friends used to call me Brian Austin Greene.

Plenty more adventures to come! This day got better, then worse, then better!! LOL

MJ was trying to play pool.... though the pool stick was placed in a risque place! :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I can see the Brian Austin Green resemblance, when you were younger, but I still see Charlie at times now!:thumbsup2

What a wonderful birthday, despite the rain!! That cake was gorgeous! Sorry it didn't taste all that great. I got a cake for my daughter (adult), last year. It was decorated ok, Tinkerbelle on top, but it was just bleech!! I will be trying a cake one more time. We are going on an illuminations cruise during our trip so I ordered a cake for on board the boat. Hopefully it will be good!

Looking forward to more of your adventures!

Oh, and lol@MJ's poolstick experience!

Her last blood draw (when she had her scans a few weeks ago) were put off because we are having this appointment. I don't think that she will have any extra pokes... but they might take more blood at her regular appointments and use some for the study.

They are at the airport right now getting ready to board. I get to pick them up at 11:15!

I hope your next cake experience is better. I'd be willing to try one more time but it would have to be for an important celebration. ::yes::

More to come..... :surfweb:

That is good to hear. I hate to see her go through ANY more than really needed. Glad they can kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak.

Tell them hi for me.

Good morning, Tim. Hope you had a stupendous weekend (fun word, huh?) full of nifty stuff! I didn't realize Mel and Ana were gone?? One more time, please. For those who obviously missed a post...

Or someone was skimming.;)

I really didn't post about it.. but they went to Florida for the weekend to celebrate Melody's godson's 1st birthday with her cousin & family. I worked most of the weekend but I did take my boat out today with a few friends. I have to pick them up tomorrow morning from the airport, then lunch, then off to CCMC for Juliana's blood work and a meeting with her doctors.

It was hard watching them walk away from me when I dropped them off. I really cannot wait to see them tomorrow!!!!

You'll be in heaven in just a couple of hours.

I think LOTS and LOTS of ice cream is called for.

No, not skimming; as soon as he said "Florida, to see the Grandparents" I remembered. It was just too many pages ago, and my 43 year brain doesn't retain everything anymore. Either that, or my gray matter's getting all scrambled by too much jogging. Maybe they make brain bras. :confused3:rotfl2:

Or maybe it was the cheese in the tub and it flustered you? My 52 year brain doesn't retain much of anything anymore. ;)

That, my dear is QUITE possible. I mean who wouldn't be flustered when they picked up the "chunk" and it got like all stringy on them. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well, my girls are home! :goodvibes

Juliana's appointment went well. Basically what we did today is going to be done once every 4 years. We received paperwork which explains exactly what each medication she received does, her doses, and what to watch out for as she grows. Her progress gets tracked. This is late effects study, she will still have her normal every 3 month check ups(for now). They were going to draw blood but Juliana has a way of making them feel bad and the doctor just told her that when we go in 2 months for her checkup they will get the info from that draw. LOL Not only that but she got her nurse to give her 2 prizes from the prize box... this was after I took her to lunch and the Disney store and got her a few toys!!!!! :lmao:

This kid knows how to 'milk' the system.... I'm going to be in trouble!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That rain storm was insane! Loved the pics from dinner; sorry you didn't enjoy the cake.
That rain was crazy but we managed. :)

Dinner was a blast! I wish I could relive it!!! :goodvibes

Oh...I could have told you quite some time ago that sweet Juliana has her daddy wrapped very tight around her little finger. :rotfl::rotfl: But I feel for any young man who comes a courting in the future. :scared1:

She already has told us that she is going to marry 2 boys in her class. I just pretend she doesn't really say that and that it is just my mind playing tricks on me. :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That oughtta be interesting... I wonder how the second one is going to get past the shotgun?

How cute that she talked them out of doing the draw. :) I'm glad she's doing so well and glad they are back home safe and sound.

Yes! I will be crying in front of the castle soon instead of my computer screen and I do cry at least 5 times while at Disney maybe more, most are happy tears, they are only sad when I do not want to leave. :thumbsup2

Allison is always saying as we leave "Mom, are you crying yet?" Shawn (being a good husband always speaks for me)! :lovestruc

Liesa, I think Tim is in BIG trouble and it is up to you and I to help him out when the time comes. ;)
LOLOL I might need some help. Or I'll just have to self medicate.

Thanks! She just put on a sad face and asked if they can do it next time. princess:
