I know that plate :) At least, I think I do! Is that the blue plate that says In God We Trust? If so, I have one on my van ;)

YES!!!!!!!

Ha! Ha! Dave was being a sore loser! :rotfl: poor guy! and you were just braggin :lmao: I would have done the same! When we play DD or DS usually beats DH & I, they are greedy little things ;) Actually, we let them win but DS being 13 is beginning to catch on :sad2:
Well I was being a sore winner too! I was rubbing it in!!!!!

We were talking 'junk' the whole game!

So I have another 9 years to let Juliana win at games??? I thought you only had to go that until they turned 6? :confused3:confused3:lmao::lmao:
Cool! Everyone had a really fun night it seems. And those drinks looked yummy. Well, the fruity ones, anyways. Yay for you winning Monopoly. :thumbsup2 I never have the patience to finish one of those games to the end. I can't wait to read about your first day in the parks. :cheer2:
I hate playing games like that unless we finish them. I think it only took 2 hours or so... not too bad.

DHS coming up today or tomorrow!

Whew all caught up. Carry on........:surfweb:
LOL Not that bad! Did you use the links?

Time for the good stuff! ;)

Wow Tim, the house looks so nice! When I was a kid we always stayed in my parents timeshare wherever we went and having the full kitchen was really nice :thumbsup2

The kids looked like they were having such a great time together. :goodvibes

Nice job on the mixed drinks :thumbsup2

Well, I have a good excuse. (I think) My friend called me last night and told me our fantasy baseball draft was about to begin. I totally forgot all about it. When it was over, 3 hours later, I couldn't look at the computer anymore and I passed out on the couch.

I can't wait till you get back... You're gonna get the ---> popcorn::

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay, I know I am getting old, but I don't see an update that you said would be posted after I'd probably already be sleeping. Now, I know I'm not still sleeping.:confused::confused:

I guess I will check to see if anything mysteriously appears when I return from the hospital.

Sorry Kat. :sad2:

I forgot I had my fantasy baseball draft last night... then I passed out on the couch. Hopefully I'll have something today. :)

Goodluck on your son's surgery!

Goodluck on your son's surgery!

Surgery was a success. No major damage to the knee...did a little scraping and readjusted his kneecap which was off whack (crooked in other words) which was probably causing a lot of pain because it was rubbing on the tendons. Crutches/pain meds for two days, rehab for about four weeks or so (he'll get the stitches out at school so he doesn't have to come back in two weeks for just that and then see the doctor when he gets out of school for the summer on May 6).

Hoping for an update tomorrow. ;)

Glad to hear everything went well! I hope he has a speedy, pain-free recovery!!!! :)

By the time you read this my update will be here! :goodvibes

I think NOT!!

HEY!!!!!!!! :rolleyes1

After sleeping 3 in a bed for 3 nights, it was nice to be back to normal. Juliana had her own room and our room was only a 15 feet away from hers. Maybe.. just maybe she would sleep a little later. I'd take 7. She must have an internal alarm clock, because once again, she was up at 6:30.

I got up with her and headed out into the living room to watch TV for a little while. I felt pretty good! I can thank the 2 pints of water I downed before I went to bed. LOLOL I opened up the shades and saw close to 30 hot air balloons. Juliana and I were just watching them float by. They kept just coming and coming. They were so close that we could even hear when they fired up the burners.

It was nice that it was just Juliana and I standing there watching them. After being up for about 30 minutes we heard some stirring. Branda came out, then Melody. Victoria woke up, then we saw Dave. Then Branda, Juliana, & Victoria went to wake up Alex. Hmmmmm could it be? Could we be out of the house by 9?

DSC07827.jpg

While the kids were eating, Dave & I were outside trying to fit 3 car seats into our rental truck. It was a tight fit but we got it to work. Then we had to figure out how to fit our stroller and their double stroller. We debated using bungee cords and strapping it to the roof! We came up with a plan and it worked. Having them ride with us saved them $14 in parking a day.

When we came back in, we were shocked! Sandwiches were made and packed with snacks. The kids were ready and more importantly, the wives were ready! OK well lets get everyone into the truck!!! After some squishing and climbing everyone was in! I put the truck in drive and pulled out of the driveway- it was 9:10! Not too bad!!!

As we were pulling out of the subdivision we could see Expedition Everest in the distance! It was neat seeing that and I was getting really excited for our day!

After about 10 minutes of driving we saw this:

Everyone started clapping and the kids started screaming! DISNEY!!!! We didn't get to drive under the sign because we were heading here.

DSC07830.jpg

It was a beautiful day. It was sunny with a high of 72. It felt like Florida weather.

We parked, got out, and headed for the tram.

We were walking into the park at 9:40. I thought that was really good! We were walking up Hollywood Blvd. and stopped for our first pictures!

I saw some characters starting to come out near the sorcerer's hat so I sent the girls and kids that way and Dave & I went to TSM to get FP's. The FPs times were already for 2 but it wasn't a big deal. We were staying till 5 so we had time. :rolleyes1

We met back up with the kids and they were about to see the first characters of the trip. Victoria and Juliana went right up to them, while Alex was intimidated. He was OK as long as Branda was next to him.

Image0032.jpg

We decided that the first attraction we would do would be the 'Playhouse Disney Show' We headed over to the animation courtyard.

DSC07838.jpg

The line for the show was already long, but we know they fit a lot of people in the show. Few 'waiting' pics.

DSC07840.jpg

DSC07841.jpg

This show is a family favorite! I don't know for how much longer though... Juliana is starting to outgrow the Playhouse Disney shows.. although she still likes Handy Manny. We were seated all the way to the right about 1/2 way back- a good location. I'm not sure how many of you have been to this show but if you sit too close it is hard to see the characters. The CMs were packing the theatre and making everybody get closer. There were quite a few people standing too.

The doors shut and the show was about to start!

Juliana & Victoria dancing.

The kids loved the show!

After we got out of the theatre, it was potty break time. Once one kid needs to go, they all have to go! LOL So the wives took the kids to the bathroom. I was trying to think of a game plan that kept the kids happy but let the adults have some fun too. There is always a fine balance between the two.

We were going to check out the Voyage of the Little Mermaid but the line was up to a 45 minute wait. We decided we would come back and do it later. The line to see the Little Einsteins was very short, so the kids got in it.

Branda & Melody took the kids into the line while Dave and I stood at the exit to be ready to take some shots. There was a lady who's family was about to be next. She walked into the line and just started bumping into people. She practically took down Victoria- no sorry or anything. Dave and I just looked at each other like 'Did we just see that?' It was odd. All she had to do was stand at the exit where Dave and I were standing and could of jumped right in to take her picture. :confused3

Alex got scared of Quincy & June so we just got pics of the girls.

After the pics we left Animation Courtyard and headed towards.......

To Be Continued..

Up next.... A Lost Kid, and Celebrities!!!!!!!!!!

I'm amazed at how good you were feeling! Esp. after being King of Monopoly! ;) Raking in all that cash can really knock a guy out.

What a special cool treat to see the balloons in the morning. Just you and your girl! :cloud9:

Awesome that you all fit in the truck! Saving $14 a day X 6 or so days = is like $80 or something!! To save that kind of dough, I'd have strapped myself with a bungee to the roof.

Never seen a Disney Channel ANYTHING, so I think the Playhouse Disney show would be all lost on us. Looks fun for those who have though.
But what is with rude woman?? Some people...:sad2:

Yeah, bathroom time...

I think it's a contagious condition. But better to do a mass evacuation, than waste a zillion hours doing the same gig one after the other.

One last comment...

See that lady on the tram behind Branda and Dave? Is she practicing her new robot moves for AI or something?? What a crack up! :lmao:

I got up with her and headed out into the living room to watch TV for a little while. I felt pretty good! I can thank the 2 pints of water I downed before I went to bed.
Freshman year of college, my dorm-mate came stumbling in at 2:30 on morning, making a holy rukus trying to crawl up into his lofted bed. He's not in there 3 seconds, when jumps out, runs to the bubbler (or water fountain, for those of you outside of Wisconsin) and gets a drink. He comes back in and makes sure to wake me up (ummm...I already was) and tell me he forgot to get a drink of water to keep his brain wet while he slept.
That night I almost tested the old urban legend that you get straight A's if your roommate dies. :rotfl2:

After we got out of the theatre, it was potty break time. Once one kid needs to go, they all have to go!
Veteran move right there, especially for a parent with only one child. :thumbsup2

What was Dave & Branda's first reactions to the "Disney Experience"? We're taking some first timers in December, and I can't wait!
Great update!
