Fall Promotions

Wow, I missed that! Was it a really good deal? Seems like it could save a lot, depending on how many meals it covers.

I think it was only offered through e-mails/pin codes- it was never available through their website. I think it is a pretty good deal- you get vouchers for one character/sit down meal, one counter meal and one snack per night of stay. The vouchers are good for a certain dollar amount but you are pretty much free to use them as you wish. The max. was 5 nights.

I was just able to book a room only reservation with the Disney Visa promotion. YIPPEEEE Paradise Pier here we come!!!!! :woohoo:

Now, that being said, I am second guessing myself. I booked Paradise Pier, please tell me I won't regret it and should have booked Disneyland Hotel. :rolleyes1

I also booked! At GC!:banana: The package includes "Disney California Adventure Preferred Seating" - I didn't think to clarify what that was. Is it to WOC? That would be awesome.

We got this for our package, too. I don't think it is good for WOC. I think you can use it for Aladdin, Muppets 3D and a couple of the other CA shows other than WOC. We plan to use ours for Aladdin.

I just got off the phone with Carlos who told me they have a hold on the offer until the 13th. At first it looked like it went through, but the system was only set up for package deals and I only need the room.

Good luck to those who can get through, I'll have to try again later.

That makes more sense. Well we haven't seen Aladdin either!

Thanks for the heads up! I might be doing a spoil myself, I mean solo, trip and would love to stay at the DLH.

I am a new Visa holder.. Can I make these reservations online somewhere or do I have to call?

Do you think Costco will have the same special when it opens up on the 13th? I'd prefer to book through them so I can get the character meal and gift card, but not sure if I should chance it. What do you guys think? Last year costco and disneyland.com had the exact same price or pretty darn close so it was a no brainer who to go with.

For those who have been able to book the package now, did you have to pay for it all up front? Were any of you able to put a hold for now?

Thanks!

Thank you for posting this! I have a Disney Visa but didn't get the email either. I have been anxiously waiting for a discount so I can upgrade from the HoJo to DLH! Very excited! :cool1:

So I had to wait on hold for 30 minutes....but I got my discount!! :) :thumbsup2

30% off hotel! The CM I talked to was super nice and said that they were still having lots of problems applying the promotion. Eventually they were able to manually input the promotion code (it appeared on my reservation as Fall30) and saved me $$$$:cool1:

Now I just have to figure out how to get that refund on my Disney Visa....I had already paid the old amount in full......:confused3

We love the Paradise Pier. We're a large family (8) so we stay in a concierge suite with park view. WOC from the room is very pretty (you can't really make out the actual images though) and we really enjoyed watching it from the comfort of our room.

I called to check pricing on the GCH and it was only about $400 less than the price I had pulled up on my own on the DLR website. Hmm..

Only $400.00 less. That sounds pretty darn good to me.

I just booked with Costco last night (9/6). They had a new offer in the afternoon that hadn't been available in the morning. It's a good savings over the DL website prices and current ap rates. I was afraid to wait until the 13th since our trip is Oct 13. They also added Halloween party tickets so I've got everything taken care of now! For reference, 2 nights at GCH in a standard room with 2 adult and 2 kid 3-day hoppers was $1412 (that is for 2 adults and 3 kids--they deducted one adult hopper since I already have an AP). DTD view was $44 more per day and premium view $88. They don't list other options so you'd have to call if you wanted concierge or suites or something.

I had a hold on a reservation at DLH (upper level resort view) for $1580 ap rate for the same nights incl. hoppers, so I saved some money and got a character meal and $20 gc to boot :goodvibes. Now, there may well be a better ap rate on the way but I'm just glad to have it all taken care of now.

ETA: I had to put $200 down plus pay for the Halloween tickets in full

It also took about 30 min & a supervisor had to manually put in the discount for mine too. My ressie also says FALL30 as the code. I saved $630 at GCH! That pretty much covers the cost of tickets for us.

I am going to call right now...

BTW was the Costco offer on their website or did you have to call?
