Fall Promotions

I just checked my reservation online and it reads: Special Offer Half Marathon.

So maybe they are having using an old promo code to get the discount to go through.....

Sorry to keep posting.....

FYI - I got the discount on my room this morning - got the email confirmation with the discount. However - when I checked my reservation online, it was room only - no tickets! I called Disney and the tickets are still on there as part of my purchase.....

Just wanted to post so if anyone else had a similar experience, they wouldn't freak (a little) like I did :)

Tried calling yesterday and the systems were down. Just got off right now and the systems were still down, however, she got all my information and said a CM would call back with the rates, BUT she mentioned that our entire party would have to purchase PH's otherwise the discount wouldn't work.

The email I received didn't say anything about purchasing a package. Anyone else having trouble with this?

Do you have to buy tickets for those that already got the promo? I have an AP and we already have our tickets for the rest of my family but my son is really wanting to try PP so it may work with this discount. Any info would be great! Also are you just asking for the fall promo? I don't have a Disney Visa. Thanks all!

Just curious what the price per night is I am trying to figure out what the savings would be and see if I might have to hold off a little longer till they post the AP rate for Nov-Dec

I checked the AP rates as they are posted for Nov /Dec but they are not good at all. I am guessing they will be lower at some point.

I was just told by Peggy that they can't book the special rates until the 13th. What gives? I said very very nicely, that's werid but I know people who are booking with the rates and she said, this must be doing another promotion :( I'll try back in a bit and see if I can get someone else. Shucks!

should have done the survey at the end on that one, she wasn't too nice to begin.

So I called and got a rate quote for our 2 day trip in December (16-18) and the rate she quoted me for PPH was only $16 cheaper after taxes than the rate I'm getting just using Disneylands website.
Does that sound right?

I just got off the phone with Carlos who told me they have a hold on the offer until the 13th. At first it looked like it went through, but the system was only set up for package deals and I only need the room.

I just called twice. The first time I was told it was only good on packages, but after I hung up and reviewed the email, it mentions hotel only, not packages.

The 2nd time I called, and another CM knew exactly what I meant ("email does not say purchase a package") and said a room-only should work, though he was trying different ways to get it entered in the system; whatever code they're supposed to use isn't working. I don't know if it's technical issues or training issues, but either way I think the travel CMs are getting a lot of calls about this, and learning along the way.

I hope you got this booked by now, because they are able to book it to Disney VISA holders. However, they are opening the special rates up to the general public on 9/13, which is perhaps why they're confused on the date.

I kept reading the email over and over again about purchasing a package.. My mom received an email as well regarding this promotion and I searched through that email and it didn't say anything about purchasing a package.

Have you been able to successfully book a room with this promotion yet? I'm wondering if I should call back again today, or wait until tomorrow when hopefully the majority of the CM's knows what's going on . :confused3

I just got off the phone and this time (last time I was told it's not available yet) got quoted a rate that was only about $300 less that what was listed on the website. That is not 25% ?? I should have checked what the room only would be. But I was able to put it on a hold until the 14th what I was offered so at least I have something on hold I guess.

When I booked a package, the Visa discount went smoothly. I think the language is deceiving - it is apparently for a package. The discount was definitely 25% at GC - I had heard that the price for packages can be "plumped up" a bit so I wanted to make sure I was really getting a discount.

I have a question - any likelihood that the GP discount will be better than the Visa one?

For those wondering - I purchased four nights at PP in June at about $268 / night. After my Fall 30 / half marathon discount (depending on which reservation I view), my room rate is now $204 / night.

Not sure what the going rate is right now for PP....but this is what I have.....

Just to add to the confusion:

At lunchtime today, I booked PP for $175/night for 5 nights in December (11-16)--a savings of 30%--with my Disney Visa. I had called yesterday and booked the room with AP, since they couldn't figure out how the VISA deal worked.

I called back this morning--system HAD been working, but was down again. Called back at noon and got the same CM I'd had yesterday. She had been super-helpful, so I was glad to get her again! (Her name was Susan) She had no trouble getting me the VISA rate and it's room only. :thumbsup2

This is the same rate I'm pulling up on Disneyland.com right now...???

Can anyone tell me what the AP rate is for 12/16 and 12/17? We aren't buying our AP's til the end of Oct...

Called back twice, and was told the same thing, by two different CM's.

This promotion is for packages only, but they'll be coming out with the room only promotion on Sept 13, which will be available to the general public.

I think the room only discount is all set up on the website. I just checked my dates of Nov. 17-19. Yesterday it was $540, and today is $378 for Paradise Pier. That's the 30% I was looking for! Guess I won't have to call back after all!

Edit: My old saved offer is the top one at $540. Bummer it didn't update for the savings.

Those are the first two nights where the price goes up in December!
$284/PP
$374/DH
$459/GC
