There is no one specific costume for Table Service. There are many different ones.

Because full-service restaurants are located in many themed areas of both Disney parks and resorts, the costume that you may end up wearing can vary a great deal. The only thing consistent among all FSF&B cast is slip-resistant shoes- there are a necessity.

For good measure, I never imagined wearing copper/spice pants and a tapa print collared shirt, but as you can see below, it pretty much ended up that way, haha.

I have been accepted and I already said I would go in Fall (August) do you think they'd let me switch to FA? I mean, if there is still room? I just got cleared from my school to leave in May if I want and I totally want to. What do you think? I am probably going to try to call my Disney recruiter tomorrow (I wont have time today), but I keep thinking about it and wondering what all of you think.

It doesn't hurt to try. If you Do I would try and call asap. When I called about my role my recruiter told me that she only had 9 more positions left!!! ANd they were all QSFB. So you should probably try and switch as soon as you can call them.

Oh! so I told you guys that I was going to get in contact with my recruiter about my role. Well during my interview I had told me interviewer that I only wanted to be considered for qsfb if everything else was filled. Turns out that my interviewer recommended me for qsfb!! That is why I got it! I was so angry! I say that i want it as a last resort, so they give it to me as a first priority! And of course the roles may not have been filled when I interviewed, but by the time i got my letter and took a week to talk to my recruiter everything but QSFB was filled. So she said she would have changed me but nothing was open. If someone declines and a spot opens up in something she said she would contact me so I havent accepted yet. I'm trying to hold out for a very slim chance opportunity. I actually think I may accept just because Im so excited about the program and want to officially be doing it, but I still will probably wait another week.

So there is my story. I got screwed over by my damn interviewer! (excuse the language, Im kind of mad.) Has anyone else had this happen to them? Maybe I jsut found out because I prodded so much into it. I just thought is seemed fishy and turns out it was very fishy indeed!

Sorry for my rant. I guess I need to vent a little.

Thanks for the sympathy! I guess im not too upset though, because I still get to do the program and Im really excited! Its just upsetting that they had to handle my interview in such a stupid way and it is a very stupid reason for not getting the role that I wanted.

heyy something kind of similiar happened to my sister. she is going to be in greece like the whole month of july on a cruise and so when she interviewed she waslike..i cant do the advantage part.. but when she got her acceptance letter it had her down for fall advantage.. so she caleld and called.. and they changed it for her. so maybe they will change it for you!

Sorry you're having such a rough time of it Sam. Sounds like no fun. I didn't have a similar problem but I just felt my interviewer was in such a rush during my interview that she wasn't really even listening to my answers. I know they have to interview thousands of people and all, but really, you ought to pay attention to the person you are interviewing and not worry so much about how many more people to go. This is all speaking from my side of the fence though, I'm sure it'd be different if I were an interviewer. Well I'll think good thoughts for you that something nicer opens up for you!

ya I think that for being disney, and supposedly having great service, etc. They kind of shuffle us around like only papers and not people sometimes.

And I talked to my recruiter on friday and that is when she told me that she only had 9 spots left. But that was just her personal amount as a recruiter. I dont know about the other recruiters, but Im assuming they are in a similar situation.

Of course, my recruiter was really really sweet about everything and made me feel tons better. She said she wanted to make my dreams come true and give me a role that I really wanted, but there were none. She also told me that when she did the CP she was in qsfb and was bummed out when she got her offer too. She talked about her experiences and was honest about the positives and negatives, so that was nice.

I just dont want people to think I hate recruiting or think of them all as mean or evil or anything because they are still really sweet.

Ah, i'm sorry to hear that. I stated in my interview that I didn't want QSFB, I just knew I wouldn't be able to handle that. I really wanted the BBB position, but those were not available. I'm happy with what I got though. :
