Fall Direct Incentives

Is it hard to juggle points at two resorts without wasting any?

I’m intrigued by the poly but might mostly use it for October trips to be close to MK for the Halloween party.
I have three contracts at three different resorts and I have not had any problems. I also do frequently book at the 7 month window so I can combine points to book stays. If you book exclusively at 11 months, it may be a bit more challenging, in my opinion. If it makes any difference, I have two 50 point contracts and 1 much larger contract.

Fall 2024 Disney Vacation Club Direct Sales Incentives!

Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has just unveiled its Fall 2024 direct sales incentives, and the focus is crystal clear—it’s all about Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

Let’s break down the highlights of these new offers and what has changed since the previous incentive rounds!

If you can get the old incentives, I'd do it. We only bought a 153 point FW contract and I'm already kicking myself for not adding on another 50 as a second contract at the time.
We have a 200 contract pending older the old incentives, but are likely splitting it to do a fixed week. We were looking at week 7 or 44 most likely. I just e-mailed our guide to ask about doing this and buying 3 more points.

We have a Feb UY so went with week 7. It is actually a savings under the current point chart. (The FW is 153 points but would cost 155 points to book in 2025.) I think you can’t go wrong with either! I am happy to have it locked in for future trips.

It’s cheap insurance.
So I decided to keep the 40 pts at VGF, I want the option to book there at 11 months and I like the smaller contracts for some reason. And the dues are almost $1 cheaper at VGF than RIV.

I kept RIV at 160 and split into 100/60. I figure if Reflections comes out or something even more magical maybe I add on 200 at that point and sell all my resale.

The only thing I would add as a data point for you to consider is that VGF is not available direct right now and is likely trading at a large premium due to illiquidity at that size of a contract. Likely $175pp+

In the future a lot more inventory may come online.

So your thought is move it while its hot...? The one thing keeping me in that camp is having all 200 points with no restrictions. I feel like availability hasn't been an issue anywhere and I've been lucky enough to get whatever rooms I've wanted at all times.

I'd say yes that is his point, but only if you decide you want to move it, not that you should sell it, just that if you're going to now might be better than later. :)

*I really should stop trying to translate Astro. lol

I've been running the numbers a lot...It works out being (more or less) $180 per point at 160 points, $174 per point at 200 points. If I sell the VGF at today's prices I end up 1K ahead on the overall deal.

I think I feel some sort of sentimental feeling about owing VGF lol, even though the reality is you can stay at any resort no matter where you own.

Not always, & definitely don't plan on it unless you're really flexible.
Sentimental, means its where you want to stay. ;)

Maybe check availability for VGF when you like to travel? (what is your vacation window, or ideal time to travel)

Lake View Studio looks to be pretty tight except in dead of summer.

Yes, 100% its my favorite place, esp. for date adult weekends.

That's a very interesting chart, thank you for sharing.

You may know better than me, but seems that 40 points doesn't get you much at VGF. 1 night, just maybe 2 in low point season.

Extra $1500 incentive at VDH if you hold a Magic Key. Maybe other properties will also get some sort of holiday incentive too. View attachment 901981
Very interesting— especially (if I’m reading it right) that you’d get $15/pt off at the 100 point mark. Might put a little more pressure on the smaller VGC contracts.
