So not merely "hotel," but "hotels" and convention areas. Whether that would include anything less costly than Pixar Place is a good question. It might be a good business move for Disney to build a slightly lower-cost hotel.
I keep saying this, that it would be a smart business move to have a somewhat more budget-friendly hotel on property. It's true that DLR's hotel situation is very different from WDW, but there are still plenty of tourists from the western states who might consider choosing a Disney-owned hotel if it was a little cheaper. DLR is primarily a locals park, compared to WDW, but for those of us west of the Rockies(in states like Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, etc.), it's still a vacation destination. It could never be as much of a bubble as WDW, but ever since DCA, they have been marketing it more and more as a mini-WDW for us westerners, and
Disneyland Forward seems to continue that trend.
My ideas for future hotel themes, all of these I think could be doable for the "cheaper than Pixar Place but still more expensive than the cheap Good Neighbors" price range:
*Tomorrowland Hotel-sleek Mid-Century Modern/retro-futuristic theme. Lobby and rooms decorated with posters and art of vintage Tomorrowland attractions.
*Wonderland Hotel-Alice in Wonderland theme. Has an Alice "unbirthday tea party" character meal.
*DisneySea Hotel-aquatic, mermaidy theme. Has mini-water park in pool area.
*Toontown Hotel-kid-friendly, colorful hotel, perfect for families with kids and the young at heart.
