Fall Breaks

When do most schools have fall breaks? Our school never had one before but next school year they will. Wondering if it's a good time to plan a quick trip. It falls Halloween weekend

All during the month of Oct. Ours is earlier in the month. It's going to vary based on what week they start school as it typically falls between 1st and 2nd grading periods (at least that's how ours is)

Our grandkids outside Houston have the week of October 3 off. The school district we live in, 30 miles away, doesn't have a fall break. Neither does the City of Houston school district.

Seems to coincide with Columbus Day around here - either the week before or after.

We have the first two weeks of October off.

It's Yom Kippur at our school, which is the first week of October this year, plus Columbus day the next week.

Houston area here -- our kids have off for Indigenous People's Day (formerly Columbus Day) which is October 10th. No other holidays or in service days for us in the month of October. Our big break is always "spring break" which is mid-March each year.

An in service day on November 4th. Then, of course, the week of Thanksgiving.

Yes, the near-Houston ISD we live in is off Oct. 10 as well but doesn't have a full week off until Thanksgiving.
