Fall Advantage 2011 :)

The amount of roles on the checklist has nothing to do with the Web Based Interview (I only had 4 roles and got through). Do you know what kind of computer she did it on? PC or Mac? And what internet browser she used? If she used anything other than Internet Explorer- that may have been why she didn't pass. The interview is meant to be taken on Internet Explorer and sometimes can mess up if done on Safari or Firefox. If that's the case- she can call and explain and they may reset it.

If that wasn't it, then she just didn't pass. I don't know if she could call and just ask to have it reset, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks so much! She had done hers on a Mac and not on Internet Explorer. So would you think she should call and see if they can reset it? She and answered our questions almost identically so I don't think it could have been that.

Have you heard of them resetting it before?? THANKS AGAIN!!

Yes, for computer failures they will reset it once. If she calls and explains they most likely will reset it for her.

Thanks again! One last question who should she call and what exactly should she say? Haha sorry for all these questions I just don't want her to make another mistake!

If you want to apply for both the WDW and the DL CP, do you have to take the web-based interview twice, or if you pass it when you're applying for WDW can you just (after filling out the applications, of course) call to set up an interview for both WDW and DL? Thanks!

This is the number on the College Program website: 1-800-722-2930 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.) I believe there is a number option for questions about the WBI. As to what exactly she should say, I really don't know. Just explain that she took the interview on a browser other than Internet Explorer and would like to know if there is a way she could try the WBI again since her failure may have happened due to a computer error. There's no guarantee they'll say yes, but it can't hurt to try.

Just finished my phone interview - if you guys get Christine you can breathe easy, she's fantastic! We talked about my restaurant experience (even though FSFB is at the bottom of my list) and how her husband was a restaurant manager and some of the crazy things he's had to deal with, it was super relaxing. Now all I have to do is waiiiiiiiiiiit

You only take the web interview once. So if you apply to WDW first, pass the web interview you'll get a screen telling you to schedule a phone interview. So then when you go to apply for DL fill out application and it'll skip the web interview and it'll just take you to the screen to set up phone interview. This goes both ways if you decide to apply DL first. You're web results stay in the system for like 6 months.

Oh and you can set up both your phone interviews at the same time. That is what I did the other day. Just let the person know and they'll do it for you. :)

Hey I posted this in another topic, but I guess this is more appropriate.

For people who have done the CP before, do you know if you get a notification of your decision via email as well?:confused3

I believe you do get an e-mail acceptance as well - the only time I've been accepted before it was post pending status and I just got the folder. But the second time when I was denied I found out through e-mail.

Did they give you a reason why they didn't accept you?

Anyways my interview is at 12:30pm on Thursday. :)

OK
So i had my phone interview last friday at 1030. Afterwards she told me i would get a response in 3-4 weeks. IS IT REALLY GONNA TAKE THAT LONG? I cant wait that long i am already going crazy. Also will it tell me the area(not just attractions or merchandise but the park or resort) im gonna work in IF i do happen to get accepted?

It could. I've seen letters arrive around 1.5 weeks, but I've also seen it take 5+ weeks (or longer). The average is around 3 weeks

I know! The waiting is the worst part to me! 3-4 weeks is basically the average of how long it takes to get your results. I've seen people get theirs in less then two weeks while others don't get theirs until a month later! It's different for everyone. And unfortunately, you won't find out until your check in day where you will be working at, the only thing you will know until then is your role.

Both times it was because of my character performer audition - the first time my application was processed before the audition and the second time I only applied for character performer and didn't pass the audition. If I remember correctly, it didn't explicitly say so, at least in the rejection e-mail.

So if you selected Character preformer (with 3 other roles) and don't pass auditions, you don't get in?

Not necessarily. If you are accepted for one of the other roles, and don't pass the audition, you will go down with one of those roles (example- attractions).

I just had my interview for Fall Advantage 2011 today. Now I just have to wait 3-4 weeks to find out if I got it.

Nope! The first time, when Performer was my top choice among other roles, I got an e-mail saying I didn't pass the audition, then a couple weeks later I got my purple folder for Attractions.
