Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

How were the busses at music? DH wanted sports because the 7yo loves sports and they are first in the loop of all stars in case they share a bus haha.
The good thing about music is if they aren't sharing, then if you find a really long line for music but a short line for sports or movies, then ride that bus. You can easily walk across either parking lot to get to music. We did this when leaving MK late one night after a thunderstorm emptied MK. (it was june). Music line was out the back of the bus stop and 20 people were in line for sports. Several others did the same and walked back with us. You just cut across the parking lot and you're at music.

This is our first trip and I was so torn about staying at Pop which is more Disney decked out or CSR. I kept seeing people saying negative things about CSR.
But the more I researched the more I think we would love it.
In the end since it was only a small amount more to stay at CSR we chose that :)
I'm hoping we do love it. Hubby is happy with the bigger beds lol

Holy moly :crazy2:
Guess we won't be going if that's true!

us either. could I afford it (Dvisa Rewards) but at that price I will choose not to. Might try to get and ADR for Minnie's Holiday Dine.

I'm wondering if they will discount them later if there is a dip in sales. It will be hard for me not to pull the trigger right away but if they happen to discount them like with the after hours I will be kicking myself :)

I would be worried that my date would sell out and then I'd really be kicking myself. We were thinking about doing the party and the morning magic hours but now we will just stick with the party.

What is it that everyone dislikes so much about ASSp? It was my first choice this time and this universal loathing is making me nervous!

I know that does make me nervous too! Last year I had a panic attack because I had our tickets in my cart for days waiting on my TA to get back to me on whether she had called and purchased them for me or not, and then one day they were gone with a note saying, "the items in my cart were no longer available." I thought for sure they had sold out but they hadn't. I purchased them right then and there! Touring plans actually has a good list for what dates sold out previous years and how many days in advance of the party they sold out.

No loathing here, promise! I haven't stayed onsite in over 20 years so I don't know how the All Stars are at all...or really any of the resorts. I was just going off online reviews. The general consensus was the AS resorts are fine, Pop is slightly better, and AoA is slightly better than that. But from what I've read you needn't be worried.

I think the AllStars are great! They are fun, clean, and scream Disney. I personally just like Pop better. I'm adding on a few days at Universal at the beginning of my trip and I've never been. I'm excited! Don't be nervous. We all like different things. :goodvibes

Plenty of people really like ASSp, we just didn't. We love Pop, it's a fun resort. Truthfully, we had a bad experience at AASp that soured us from day 1, but it's highly unlikely to happen to you as it involved a shipped package and how they handled everything. We have stayed at Movies too, which is a nice resort, great theming but the buses were awful.

How about I tell you some good things about ASSp. We liked the food court, food was really good. Our room in Touchdown couldn't have been closer to the food court. It's the first stop when they share buses. It's a short walk to ASMusic. They're is a ASSp thread on the resorts board, and there's a lot of All Satr love there.

Oooh...how can I find this on Touring Plans? That would be super helpful!

I just read an article about AoA having a drawing class. Has anyone seen/done this? Is it like the one they had at HS? I thought if we're at POP we could walk over and take a class. I was really bummed when they closed it at HS.

What did you think of BC? I like the idea of being able to walk to Epcot.

We loved, loved, loved walking to Epcot everyday. We had a brand spanking new, renovated room on the main floor just a few steps from the BC marketplace. We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect room.......but we missed Pop. :rotfl:

We didn't love SAAB. It was crowded and like a maze to me. My kids ended up loving the quiet pool more. They couldn't wait to jump into the Hippy Dippy pool. :hippie: I'd still stay at the BC again one day for the proximity to Epcot, but other then that, I don't have any real desire to go back.

Every time we go to Pop, we always plan to do this, but we've never gotten around to it. It sounds great though. :)

I think they have already put together a list for this year ranking the dates from best to worst. Just search Christmas party under the TP blog.

Last years prices didn't seem to be this up and down. September-October 1 had a set price and October2-November1(with the exception of 10/31)had a set price.:confused3

Disney is definitely gung-ho with the tiered pricing.
