Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

We're going to go with the extra day of park time instead of MVMCP, too. I was on the fence already because my kids are so little and the price sealed it. There are six of us on this trip; the cost for that one night was insane!

I am in a debate about the extra park day also. We are there 12 days. 1 is the day we leave but our flight isn't til 7 so I assume ME will leave about 4. I have 5 days at Disney, 2 at universal and MNSSHP. Thinking about a 6th day but I think I might be tired! I wasn't going to do the party due to the price but my DH said its my Mother's Day gift (not that he spends that much but I returned my Christmas gift and I never got around to replacing it). I am more excited then my kids and will prob the only party we will ever do. They are 16 and 11 so they should have no problem staying awake til the very end!

we are going to do a dinner at HS (Minnie's Holiday Dine) then ride the monorail to look at the Xmas Decorations at those resorts. Watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly is a great idea. had planned on Typhoon Lagoon during the day we were going to the party anyway.

The grandmunchkins have never seen the water parade either. Do they do that on party night also?
We watched it last year from the FW beach and then saw the Christmas party fireworks from there too. Pretty sure it does run every night.

I have not read the last four pages, so I am behind on my reading so if this is a repeat sorry. Disney has opened up new resorts and rooms today. I was able to book my dream resort this morning and it has not been up for free dinning until today in any form. So do not give up if you are not in the room you need or want.

Now if only they would decide to add POR in December ;)

I'm considering doing the same thing. I mean even if I buy tickets for 10/2 the people that might have gone on 10/4 might now choose the 10/2 or 10/6 so they don't have to pay even more. I just don't understand the pricing this year.
I really don't understand the pricing for this week! That's the week we will be there and I want to do the party SO bad so I'm pretty much willing to pay whatever price they want to charge me.... However I was planning to go Tuesday bc I've heard that's the least crowded day, but it's more expensive soooooo idk now!

My week is like that for MVMCP! The Tuesday that we were planning to go is more expensive than the Thursday. Hmm....

So once you buy Halloween tickets and have them linked to your account, it opens all the late night BOG and Cinderellas castle dinner reservations. I don't think I would want to waste party time on them, but if we you really wanted to and couldn't get a reservation, there are a lot available right now. It says you have to have the Halloween Ticket to reserve.

Really? Lucky! Nothing for my dates, resort and promo...

Congrats! Good for you for not giving up!

Look at September 23 and 30. Both are Friday nights and the 30th is cheaper :confused3. The Thursday party has sold out in the past so I think that's why they started adding Tuesday to the party dates, but if Tuesday is higher and Thursday sells out, Sunday might be picking up some of the party crowd for that week.:sad2:

Disney just emailed me with a survey about my booking experience. One of the questions asked how many times I visited the Disney website or an unofficial Disney Fan Site (listed Disboards) before booking.

I got an error - the number of times I listed for both was "too large."

[The "too large" number was already reduced from the real number by at least 5x].

Hope this is in the right place. We have two rooms reserved at Coronada with standard view and FD for Nov. If a water view becomes available, can I change this through my MDE or do I have to make a new reservation and cancel the 1st? I see where there is an option to edit view, but didn't know if I would be able to edit and keep FD.

I think it runs every night.

Thank you both so much!! We're thinking of watching the water parade/fireworks after dinner at Kona's!

I've been wishing on stars for this to happen. :cloud9:. Rubbing lamps, in case a genie pops out. :genie:. And taking any pixie dust I can find, scattering it around. pixiedust:. All in hopes of free dining at POR in December!!!

I think since the party tickets are so costly, we will also be adding a day to our park tickets also. I wonder what time they do the fireworks on party nights? It would be fun to watch them from the poly!!
This is what I was hoping to do but I hadn't even thought about the water parade! Thanks!!
