Fall 2015. Information out now.

My guess: port of Baltimore. It's unexpected and the DC area has money. Earlier this week we were up in DC and we heard tons of DCL ads. They were playing an ad hourly on the news channel.

This would be indeed unexpected... Still go north for Fall foliage but also south but probably just 5n or 7n. The problem with NY in 2012 was the south cruises were 8n. They sold out, but too long and too expensive...

I expect/guess San Diego for October (California Coast) with the Wonder until it goes back to the East Coast in November...

Maybe they can replace Nassau with somewhere else? Key West would be great! From what I have experienced and read not many enjoy Nassau anymore.
I guess that is wishful thinking though. :rolleyes1

I know it's not going to be New Orleans- and that may actually be good for me! My kids want to see where I was raised (the French Quarter) and my DH loves jazz- coupled with the fact my twins will be 18 their senior year of high school and no longer able to do Vibe, we have decided to do another line in 2016. I'm sure it will save us a bunch of money doing RCCL, but if DCL cruises of of NOLA then I'm probably going to HAVE to cruise them- and my teens can just deal with a little less entertainment!

I think they do Nassau to fill the foreign port requirement (though I would guess CC would do that too?).

Houston Houston Houston:yay:

The Houston port gave other cruise lines great incentives to cruise out of there vs Galveston. It would be nice if DCL got the same deal. We have another cruise line booked for fall of 2015, but I'd switch. . especially if DCL was to offer that longer cruise that hit CC and PC again.

They only way I'm booking Monday is if it's MR or NOLA. I'm sure Houston is better than Galveston as a port, but it costs us the same to fly to Houston or Orlando. I'm not sure what I would want more though- MR would save a few thousand in airfare and half a day of travel- but I want to go to New Orleans!!!

I WISH they would sail out of NOLA! Then, my parents would be all about it and maybe take us with them!

I know NOLA was expanding their port so they could host more ships and really wanted one of those to be DCL, but I haven't seen/heard/read anything else about it. So I'm not holding my breath.

The ad reads "A new journey sets sail soon...."

Maybe I am over analyzing it but it sounds like a new destination/itinerary versus just a new port. thoughts?

Is it still eight hours to navigate into or out of NOLA port? I thought I saw something like that somewhere.

I just can't see them going back to Texas so soon after doing SO horribly that they discounted so many cruises and paid the penalty to leave before the contract was up. Maybe some day but after only a year???? I guess I would be REALLY surprised. My guess is out of NYC and sailing south again. Silver did say it didn't involve Quebec correct? So...they could do the Canada thing again and avoid that port, but my $$$$ is on heading south.....

I keep hoping and praying it's Houston or NOLA but I'm for sure not holding my breath for that...they just left Galveston and NOLA spends 1/3 of the day just getting in and out of the Mississippi. But either of those would be a big surprise for those reasons.
Would NY really be that surprising?

I'm pretty sure the Quebec speculation was about it being a home port for some cruises. So it being a stop is not prevented.

It will be at least a year and a half. January 2014 was the last Galveston (I was on it) and we're looking in the September-November 2015 range.
They discount many of the itineraries during the school year, even out of PC. Even on the newer ships.

I love how you are giving so many of us Texans a glimmer of hope!! ;)

How did the MR cruises do? Anyone know?

I dont think they did very well at the end. They pulled out early a few weeks. I remember being relieved that my mid-november sailing hadn't been cancelled. And there were lots of upgrades available on my cruise too. We were able to snag the Roy Suite and had originally booked an 11B! It was a sweet deal!

Don't forget that security was questionable there at the end as well as violence in the region rose... I think a good number of people who would have traveled there pulled out/didn't book at the end due to it. Other cruise lines have since returned.
